The reason why they didn't do it in Ge'ez is because this Orthodox Tewahedo Church called St. Paul Orthodox Tewahedo Church (SPOT) offers services within the church in English to those who may not understand Amharic or Ge'ez very well, so no this is not attention seeking, but rather doing the work of good

We have kidase by AfanOromo in Wolega. But here in US, not even Oromigna but they don't even know Amharic. People here doesn't know you ethinic languages. That's why the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo church reaches the diaspora by French, Dutch and English. Be positive Mr. COMPLAIN
