You should use oil between the weapon and the plate and also between the plate and the reddot. Glock recommends this against threads and bolts rust and corrosion. And only aluminium plates use t-nuts, steel ones are mounted directly in to the plate just like the original from Glock.

Makes sense! Esp for the summer, I’m sweating on my carry a lot!
