JaguarRider But James only stole the money b/c Mac put him up to it. So Mac has been indirectly responsible for killing *two* characters (Frankie and Sami's dad) :P.

Melissa Turner That is only speculation, we haven't seen on screen Mac having anything to do with the embezzling.

Can Sami just stop with this revenge plan please he's seriously getting on my nerves now and the ending wow I'm afraid James is starting to become like his father with the flipping abuse. Hopefully they can fix everything with this.

I take it you didn't watch Friday's episode, the flashbacks showed it was all James, if Sami's dad had something to do with it, we would've seen it or that James would've revealed it.

JaguarRider is 100% correct, it was all James - because he believed his parents needed money to save the family home, while what they really needed the money for, was to pay the prostitute who gave birth to James` son, so she would keep her secret. That is what the storyline claims, although it doesn`t make much sense they paid her anything, since she risked being charged for having had sex with a minor under sixteen, had the Nighingales claimed the baby was consummated while James was still 15. But logic and Hollyoaks rarely meet up, do they?

He didn`t really achieve anything - apart from appearing to not understand neither the law, nor the evidentiary value of evidence very much. It made no sense for him to demand Sami to get James himself free from suspicion of having killed Kyle, if James at that point thought Kyle had been killed, cause that would have meant Sami would have had to have confessed to having killed Kyle himself. And why would he have confessed to that far more serious charge, when all James had on him was a dossier proving Sami believed James had embezzled money and framed his father? It is not against the law to investigate a case. And that dossier only showed what Sami had discovered during his investigation, not to what he had done to get his own back on James - that part is only suspicions on James account. But even Sami`s claims here borders on the ridiculous since the fact he had framed James in itself wouldn`t have proven James`s guilt. Sami could have had a mad obsession, drawn the wrong conclusions and a whole lot of other possibilities. So from a legal point of view, Sami`s position is not much better than James`. But because both of them could lose both their careers and their freedom if the whole truth had come to light, their best option would have been to let bygones be bygones. For Sami to get Kyle to contact James, so James could inform the police Kyle was alive and in Mexico - so Mexican police and British diplomats could verify he was alive. And after Kyle had told them something like he had to leave in a hurry cause he had been offered a last minute vacant treatment spot in Mexico, and as a result of the hurry came to both smash some glasses and cut himself so he bled, the fact he both had MS and needed a stick to walk probably would have made the police assume the blood splatter on the wall to have been a result of Kyle trying to maintain balance, waving his hand around so much the splatter on the wall looked as if it should have been the result of a violent attack.

A bit late, but how come James would rather be charged for murder than embezzlement?!

These is the previous row... but, James obviously has the moral high ground here. He was forced by Mac & Marnie to embezzle that money to cover up the blackmail Donna Marie was doing. Besides, Sami’s dad could easily prove he wasn’t guilty.... unless he did other things besides James’s money.

there's a difference between wanting justice and wanting revenge, which is what sami wants. he is consumed with rage. and with james being the reason his dad killed himself is a little bit of a stretch, there may be something about the maalik dad that we don't know about.

i personally just don't find sami's actions justifiable. i'm not saying what james did was right but i don't think he has done the right thing by framing james for his fake murder of kyle. he's trying to kill to birds with one stone and i see it going downhill from here for both sami and james.
