Very talented musician for sure but there's absolutely no doubt that she had Kurt killed.. between her affiliation with Allen Wrench, the handwriting samples found in her bag attempting to mimic Kurt's writing style, the PI she hired becoming convinced it was her. I used to want to believe it was a suicide and closed my mind to the possibility that it was murder but once I opened my mind and looked at the evidence there was no other conclusion to be found.

@@babayaga5736 Evidence? I don't see much evidence. She once said she feels responsible for his death but that is a typical reaction to the death of a loved one.... we always tend to blame ourselves thinking maybe if we had been better in some way they wouldn't have died. In the end, Kurt chose to take drugs and become a heroine addict and he acted foolishly. Everyone loves Kurt but he has no one to blame but himself for his poor choices in life.

I am 16 and was a massive Nirvana fan, read books about Kurt was truly fascinated by him and I heard about Hole through him (obviously because I sort of missed the 90s). My first reaction was to find out who Love was and I thought if the man I idolised married and had a child with her then she must be awesome, so I checked her out and I love her. Hole are awesome. I don't know why Nirvana fans hate her so much!

And I cry and no one can hear Inhale The blinded eyes that see The chaos Bring the pitiful to me Even though I'm wide awake I will & blackest night & I wait for you It's cold in here there's no one left & I wait for you & nothing stops it happening & I knew I'd cherish all my misery alone And I wait staring at the Northern Star I'm afraid it won't lead me anywhere He's so cold he will ruin the world tonight All the angels kneel into the Northern Lights Kneel into the frozen lights And they paid, I cry and cry for you Ghosts that haunt you with their sorrow I cried 'cause you were doomed Praying to the wound that swallows All that's cold and cruel Can you see the trees, charity and gratitude, They run to the pines It's black in here blot out the sun & run to the pines Our misery runs wild and free & I knew, the fire and the ashes of his grace... And I wait staring at the Northern Star I'm afraid it won't lead you very far He's so cold he will win the world tonight All the angels kneel into the frozen lights Feel their hearts they're cold and white And I want you And blessed are the broken And I beg you No loneliness, no misery is worth you Oh tear his heart out cold as ice it's mine And I wait praying to the Northern Star I'm afraid it won't lead you anywhere He's so cold raining on the world tonight All the angels kneeling to the Northern Lights And I pray begging to the Northern Star I'm afraid it won't lead you anywhere He's so cold he will rule the world tonight All the angels kneeling to the Northern Lights Kneeling to the frozen lights Feel their hearts they're cold as ice.....

Courtney Love lacked the love of her parents, so I agree her childhood wasn't the best. But to even try and compare hers to Kurt's is laughable. She grew up privileged, a trust fund baby, who never struggled like Kurt did in her life. He didn't even have a solid place to live. Courtney at the age of only 18 could've literally bought the house Kurt grew up in with her trust fund money.

If you look at history, you find that whenever "pop" music is challenged in the mainstream it is the anti-establishment that is recording music and hence, popularizing anti-establishment ideals like racial equality, anti- trust (meaning let's put more rules on Wall Street, and capitalist ) and Anti-War movements thrive. Think 1969 Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and how that all coincided with the 1960's civil rights movement. These movements scared Tricky Dick-President Richard Nixon-so much he tried to deport John Lennon. After the riots of 1991 Nirvana and Grunge music screamed onto the scene unlike any musical movement had ever done. People literally made Michael Jackson's Bad album the most returned album in music histort-This was before ITunes of course, and people were trading Bad for Nirvana's Nevermind, Nirvana had literally brought down the King of Pop- This was before MJ' s death and legal concerns. The air was filled with change and revolution, LSD was everywhere, you hardly heard of police shootings or race riots, and people were demanding government cater to them and not big business- see the Seattle protest of the 1990's. After the death of Nirvana, pop music ROARED back to life with Brittney, Timberlake, Christina, N'Sync, and now Nicky, Izzy......The list never ends. The core message of Pop music is Everything is awesome!!! Therefore, why change it? Why get involved in political movements? Why challenge the idea that one must be beautiful to sing and ONLY use sex to sell? Race relations got worse, misogyny got worse, education got worse, and CEO' s of all kinds got paid, and government is clearly in a you scratch my back I'll scratch yours relationship with big business. Now DID Courtney kill Kurt? I don't know, I wasn't there-However, it was in the best interest of business and specifically record execs to eliminate Kurt Cobain and Courtney has proven time and time again that she'd do ANYTHING for fame--for example how she forced herself into the Sid and Nancy movie---Lastly, I've been on heroin before, you can't lift up your head on the stuff, and you want to tell me he picked up a loaded Mossberg and pulled the trigger, after claiming that he feared she was trying to kill him a few weeks before, when he locked himself in the bathroom? I say something stinks-----and if it's true then she is responsible for our current political path. That's why people hate her

And I cry and no one can hear Inhale The blinded eyes that see The chaos Bring the pitiful to me Even though I'm wide-awake, I will, And blackest night and I wait for you It's cold in here there's no one left And I wait for you And nothing stops it happening And I knew, I'd cherish all my misery alone And I wait staring at the Northern Star I'm afraid it won't lead me anywhere, He's so cold he will ruin the world tonight All the angels kneel into the Northern Lights Kneel into the frozen lights And they paid, I cry and cry for you Ghosts that haunt you with their sorrow I cried 'cause you were doomed Praying to the wound that swallows All that's cold and cruel Can you see the trees, charity and gratitude They run to the pines It's black in here blot out the sun And run to the pines Our misery runs wild and free And I knew, the fire and the ashes of his grace... And I wait staring at the Northern Star I'm afraid it won't lead you very far He's so cold he will win the world tonight All the angels kneel into the frozen lights Feel their hearts they're cold and white And I want you And blessed are the broken And I beg you No loneliness, no misery is worth you Oh tear his heart out cold as ice it's mine And I wait praying to the Northern Star I'm afraid it won't lead you anywhere He's so cold raining on the world tonight All the angels kneeling to the Northern Lights And I pray begging to the Northern Star I'm afraid it won't lead you anywhere He's so cold he will rule the world tonight All the angels kneeling to the Northern Lights Kneeling to the frozen lights Feel their hearts they're cold as ice

Fucking beautiful song. Makes me cry. Can't sing a note. But LORD, that raw emotion ....All my favourite vocalists do this. So much of our current crop of shite is note perfect, sanitised carp. This is real.

Lived across the road from Courtney's sister just outside Olympia back in the mid 80's. Wish I could share all the stories. The only one I think she would still remember with a smile is when right after we pushed her Volvo Wagon out of the ditch...how hard she laughed when we described "tipping cows"--the reason we were in a field after midnight. Never tipped one after that, but she later told me she tried.

Out of all of the tales that I have ever heard about her, this is the only one that I believe, I have met her, and she isn't anything at all like you see or read about. She is a totally different person, didn't wear makeup. Late '93. Very nice lady. I could totally see her tipping cows. at that age. We stole watermelons, because it was easier. I think she has that persona as a character, to shield herself from all the psychopaths in the industry. I respect her, and I enjoy her music, and her acting work, including her movie roles, lol. She's great, and I wish her well.

@@cnilecnile6748 Thanks--I agree, she is a WAY different person off-stage. I knew her as a Mom and the sister to my neighbor, who I thought was also a really good person and took care of Francis Bean whenever their were a bunch of psychopaths interfering in just trying to deal with raising a kid in the mid 90's. Had to be hard but she kept smiling and laughing when she didn't have to be overly serious. And--I love her concerts, maybe even more than watching Nirvana back in the day.

This band was important to me. I'm glad I gave them a listen from time to time. She probably toughened me up a little, even. But there wasn't much in the 90s foretelling what was ahead. This past 24 years have been tough, too.

Record shops were great places to hear new music. I was in the HMV shop in Ayr, Scotland in January 1999 when I heard Hole for the first time. I snapped up two CD singles of Malibu and later the album. I must have played that CD to death. Pretty much saved me during hard times that year. Great album. This was probably the best song.
