What is that red semi-hollow bass?

@@ryanbutler74 That is a custom build done by a local luthier, that one is the prototype for a new model that he builds. I picked all the options, wood, finish, electronics, 32" scale, inlays, etc. Wonderful bass, lucky to have it! Thanks!

When they did their recent interview videos about the history of the band, I asked whether there was anyone they would like to do but haven't because they didn't think they could pull it off -- whichever band member responded gave me a list of some artists in that category, some not surprising and some surprising to me. That's musical integrity when you could probably get a lot of views by covering a famous artist but choose not to because you don't think you could do it justice.

I am in awe here. Three 12 strings playing on one song? Marvelous vocal harmonies. Man, it sounds like 10 guitars playing and a whole choir on the chorus. Wow.

The wonder and magic of three 12-string acoustics, combined with those vocals. What a sound. Great, great job!

Probably one of the most wholesome and entertaining versions I've ever heard. Hats off to you, LLB.

The Hole enchilada!

I've listened to every LLB song ever posted. The instrumental tracks (drums up through the guitars) are always super solid (understatement). This song demonstrates amazing vocals. Vocal tonality / timbre is very hard to replicate. The interplay of the lead vocal and the supporting male vocal is just great. Then, the female vocals are just perfect. My understanding is that this is done across minimal takes. I get that there is prep etc but just want to confirm how really really good this is. And, btw, Extreme is not really my thing. But, LLB surely is. 🙂

There’s no better sound than a chorus of twelve strings accompanying a chorus of great voices! Randy kills it on bass too. Great job folks. 👍

The level of perfection you guys attain is just breath taking. I have never heard a cover band better than LLB.

I think of them as re-creators, not covers. Cover bands generally are stuck on one group or genre. Sometimes they have one guy in the band that sounds a little like Stevie Ray Vaughan or shreds like Eddie Van Halen. The range of music that LLB creates is astounding. Arrangement and talent are matched to bring out the best of the music.

This song is a master piece of the twelve strings. The atmosphere and Nuno’s arrangement were unique

Super-fantastique, and I'm not even French, LOL!! Extreme is so very underrated, but that's part of what makes them so great! Plus, Nuno B.'s a true six-string master and your multi-pronged guitar attack did him very proudly on this excellent cover. Well done! P.S., impeccable vocals, bass and percussion work as always. Something I admire about LLB is their choice of vocalist. They almost always match the vocal style of the original with their own signature. It's the A+ factor for me.

I loved this song during its heyday Summer '91. Amazing acoustic sound & harmonizing. You guys gave me chills all over, absolutely AMAZING performance. The only thing missing was the long hair on the guys LoL. Thank you for giving this song new Life. It's currently at the top of my Play List.. As good as the original in every way .. Repeat 🔁 Repeat!

I believe this might be the best cover you folks have done yet. It's a fantastic song (extreme was horribly overlooked by so many) these vocals are so so good. (as is the music). just wow

I used to listen to this song all the time as this CD was the one that spent the most time in my car's radio back in the late 90's while i'd commute to and from work. And as such every beat, word, harmony, etc. is carved into my memory. And wow this is such a faithful cover that it took me right back there. Another masterfully done job by the LLB!

Those guys are excellent vocalists.

My brother Chuck worked with Extreme on the production of this album, and the video for this song. And I've got to say that you guys did an amazing job on this one

This has been rolling around in my head. Had to come back for another listen.

I remember back in the day I had a 45 RPM with this song, I heard it on the radio and my mouth dropped. Like, what is that ? THe harmonies on the original have been flawlessly recreated with this. I am totally in awe of this. Now it won't be that hard to recreate "More than Words" to round out pretty much ALL of the Extreme hits ever. And that 45 had "More than Words" on the back side. I love this! I am going to have to share this with everyone.

OMG that was amazing. Closing my eyes, I could see the LLB gang singing around a fire pit after a barbeque.

Once again, the LLB brings a level of professionalism and heart to the project. I got to see Extreme do this live back when the song was new and I must say you all have captured each subtle nuance just perfectly. Thanks for your tireless efforts...you are appreciated!!

Mostly you guys blow me away. Occasionally I'm "meh" (I keep it real because I love you guys). But honestly this is that rare occasion when I really feel like you guys surpassed the original by a mile!! Gave me chills. My band used to cover this back in the day. If you played just the audio, I swear the majority of Extreme fans would mistake this for the original. I would be among them!! Guitars and harmonies instantly transported me back to 1991. I am amazed at the endless stream of talented musicians and vocalists behind LLB's tracks. Close to 70 contributing musicians at my last count. You guys continue to raise the bar with every new track! Really love this one - pretty sure the guys from Extreme would as well!!

Unbelievable. Blown away by what is without a doubt a fantastic rendition. Indistinguishable from the already awesome Xtreme original.

Amazing cover. My old band and I used to go around the city and play this song during jam nights at different bars. The early 90's were so fun. Awesome video and thanks for bringing back some great memories.

Oh my that was goodness!

WOW! I've watched a ton of tutorials for this, only concentrating on the lead 12-string part. Then I saw Rick Beato's interview with Nuno, and he talked about writing this song. He'd just gotten a 12-string, hadn't played one before, and developed the tune while fooling around with it. He grabbed a 12-string and dashed the opening off for Rick. I realized the difference between the tutorials (some by pretty damn good artists) and what Nuno played. When he played it, you could hear every single note sing out, like it was in its own universe. The tutorials, no matter what speed the song was played at, mushed up that descending bass line (among other things). You lot played it perfectly. Closeups of all 3 12-strings, as they were playing the opening, showed how fast it was, how intricate it was, and every single note sang out like it was in its own universe. Nuno would approve.

So good! Harmonies. 12 string Taylors. And the production. Takes me back to a great time in my life.
