Just bought the Arahi 7 in mens 14 wide. Three days of use so far and I am very satisfied with the comfort level. This is also my first Hoka brand shoe though.

Just bought the exact same shoe. Feels more comfortable than the 6. Have owned 3 pairs of hte 6 and now will buy the 7’s from now on. On the other hand really disappointed in the Gaviota 5. Still feels tight in the toe box area just like the Gaviota 4.

Have you gotten the guide 17 yet, would like to know want you think of it. Hopefully it will be better then the guide 16,not a big fan of it. Ok on the treadmill ,sucks on the road.

I did a wall vualt pretty easily with the Arahi 6s', but I can't speak on fences though. Also these are definitely not good for wet grass/mud! For Agility tests I didn't have the confidence to make quick sharp turns because I felt I was gonna slip. The mile and a half run felt HORRIBLE because there is just so much cushion on the Arahis. BUT this was all on wet grass/mud. I believe if your on solid ground or dry terrain you should be fine...But if not, things are going to get interesting.

I’ve heard the guide 17 is basically neutral and won’t help someone who has a lot of pronation

I thought these shoes were comfortable thats why i bought them but man i was wrong...my feet feels so weird and uncomfortable when wearing these, i do not run so just wanted something to wear and take a long walk

Hoka have been consistently become more and more mediocre with their new iterations.. i find myself waiting for my previous versions to completely die before contemplating getting the new ones. The Arahi just getting a new outsole and upper just doesn't cut it for me, and a firmer ride? That's just not gonna justify the cost.

You are right about the Arahi's. Owned 3 pairs of the Arahi 6 and loved them. Had one pair of Arahi 7 and gave them away after a couple months. These are so bad that I bought a pair of Asics Gel Kayano as my new runners.

7 is narrower than 6 Arahi

Yes this have been my experience. I bought a pair of Arhai 7 9.5 2E and they felt tighter than a similar pair of Arahi 6.
