​@@pietervanderzwaan4295 It was 100% because he did the Willhelminism focus, that tanks relations and urges the AI to kick your ass out of the faction, but they automatically invite you back because the AI is also compelled to invite in countries if they are at war with the same faction. Not a bug but a bad feature.

@@pietervanderzwaan4295 It does happen after a specific amount of shit points you get, but in this case it was that focus. Paradox really needs to make sure that the AI will keep you in their faction or kick you out permanently and not flip flop between the two.

I hate these filthy Neutrals, Stakui. With enemies you know where they stand but with Neutrals, who knows? It sickens me.

haha yes, dutch education is shit. WW1 is skipped, but also WW2 is very little detailed, i got mad multiple times for them not including the Soviet Union.

As someone who has just played Equestria at war, seeing this map makes me feel weird (Speaking of that mod, I’m still waiting for the next series whenever that is) I swear I’m not too much a fan of My Little Pony, but both the writing and wordbuilding for it, and Equestria at War is glorious Really similar to Game of Thrones in that regard, except it never went weird (Unless you count the possible mass genocide and wars, coups and such)

That mod feels so alive and it's detailed as well.I lost the war against the anti Aris axis and I got an event that lets you make peace at the cost of some territories,it also unlocked 2 new small focus trees

You can absorb Belgium and Luxembourg through the focus tree and reform a united Netherlands.

I suspect if Stakuyi had done the "Lend Lease everything to my German puppet" thing, he could have squeezed in an annexation. On the other hand, maybe Paradox would have still "fixed" that by making Germany independent in that event.

With what you said about the color orange being directly tied to the dutch royal family, that would actually explain why in Civilization V, the primary color for the Netherlands in the game is a bright vibrant orange. I'll admit, I always wondered about why that was the case lol

The flag was also originally Orange, white and blue. The orange was later replaced with red because it was cheaper to produce and essentially merchants refused to fly the orange color.

As somebody who enjoys playing the Netherlands in most paradox games, keeping Indonesia as a puppet gives you access to more manpower and someplace to train troops closer to the pacific front because you have no cores there. I've done games where as a Democratic netherlands formed the Benelux, then the EU factions and basically told Germany to get stuffed while focusing on fortifying the east against the real enemy.

Churchill flip flopping on the Dutch being in the faction, not being in the faction-- no I want you back-- I want you out.....Seems most appropriate for him.

i've played alot of netherlands lately and the closest I've come to not dying to the Germans on historical is level 10 forts all along line, focusing strictly and getting all focuses to increase population and spamming all mils on guns and artillery. I held for awhile reinforcing key positions but over time they kept ruining my organization and eventually they'd win through I made it probably a year. The only method I see in getting the achievement is to not play historical.

"oranje boven" means "orange on top" the red in the Dutch flag used to be orange, the icon of the focus is a Dutch flag with an orange vane above it. which is something we do during the birthday of the sitting king or queen, people fly the flag with an orange wind vane above it.

The Orange-White-Blue flag of NL is very rooted in the Republic of the Netherlands and considered heavily against the democratic monarchy. Its closely related to fascism.

Tip: If you deplete the manpower of indonesia to 0 and wait a few months, the ai will automaticly increase the conscription law of Indonesia. Which can give you a total maximum extra manpower of 1.6 miljeon instead of the 760k manpower

The E at the end of "de Wilde" is not silent, its pronounced like the E in "de" which you just said before. The double A in "Adriaan" should be a bit longer and have a bit more emphasis. Otherwise pretty good.

Does this strategy still work? I tried it myself but i cant seem to get as many of those cheap divisions and then gain control over them when anexing DEI. Edit: Okay I got the manpower but I still seem to have done something wrong. I did not have as much artillery and support equipment as you did at the start, and germany still overran me. If anyone here has some tips to make this strat work, id really appreciate it, I want to get the achievment as monarch netherlands...
