I’m so glad I finished this already, this achievement turned a fun run into pure agony

Despite minimal RNG [and thank you for this guide!] I've seen: Austria reject [for no discernable reason], Czechoslovakia become a dominion, Romania opt for war, France and Germany reject brokering the talks, and once when I finally did everything right and was on the peace deal screen for taking Yugoslavia, my cat jumped on the keyboard and signed a white peace.

A word of advice. Ever since NSB came out, it is almost guaranteed that Germany will skip "Reassert Eastern Claims" all together and do "Demand Sudetenland" first. Just be warry and wait the 70 days instead of picking the "Support Urbanization" focus to get Czechoslovakia before the Germans do. Then you can go ahead and take the two focuses you missed.

For the construction bugged thingy, you don’t need to restart the game, you could just flood the construction list by queuing more constructions, ones you’ve flooded it enough the list will return to normal

Another achievement done. Did it on my first time with 14/4 and it work perfectly. Once again 10/10 guide. (pls more guides like this one)

I think this guide actually minimizes RNG, not removes it. Out of the 10 times I've retried this, the Czechs usually accept for the vast majority of times, although they have become puppets for 1-2 times.

In every try I do the Austrians outright refuse the referendum. High relations, army on the border, diplo pressure from spies. Still deny the referendum.

Yeah. It's a % chance. I think it is 20% at base. Up to 40% chance if World Tension is above 20. If they are in a faction the chance is halved. And if Germany's current focus is Sudetenland they will always accept.

This guide is still useable with no step back there just a few things diffrent. Research takes longer and u end up like 150 days off when he goes for fighters. u also have more pp due to military advisors being cheaper. The biggest change is to germanys focus order they may not go eastern claims before sudetenland so do the no focus step right after restoration so u dont get thrown off by a early demand. U also need 2 spies or 1 spy and a civilian infiltration on them to see there focus not just 1 spy.

Thank you so much for this updated guide. Judging by the other comments here, I must've been extremely lucky, but I got this achievement first try while following along with your guide. All the RNG went my way. Weirdly, I got an event that said the negotiations with Romania had broken down and I thought I would have to go to war, but then a separate event fired and Germany gave me the land I needed anyway. Paratroops worked for getting a foothold in England even though it was a slog after. In the peace deal I wasn't able to get any of the states I needed so I figured I would just keep going and get them from the Axis in the end. Still took me until 1946 because I'm bad at the game apparently, but I finally won. Love your guides!

For anyone struggling with this post-NSB, I managed to do it without using any spies at all (I don't even have La Resistance). Painstaking guide below: Rush to the 'Demand A Referendum' focus. Before taking it, reintegrate the railroads and improve relations to the max (I think they need to be above 75 to impact the AI's decision) with Austria before the referendum focus finishes. The majority of the time, they will accept, though not always. If they don't, it's a restart. After they accept, do the restoration of A-H focus, and then continue doing the industrial focuses up until the first extra research slot. To see Germany's focuses without spies, you will need to turn fascist and join the Axis. So the political power spending should look something like this: First 150 PP goes to the Silent Workhorse, second 150 PP goes to the Fascist Demagogue. Then switch to Free Trade (in the future you'll need Limited Exports for resources, but for now the bonuses are nice), followed by hiring the Captain of Industry advisor (since I recommend building civs until you get rid of the Treaty of Trianon). After that fill out the military cabinet, including the chief of airforce (pick all the dudes that give army XP, and for the airforce pick the guy that buffs aIr superiority). Don't hire a navy guy, it's pointless. Do not spend any PP on decisions about flipping to fascism yet. At this point your fascism support will probably be close to 50% (or even above it), since the 'Fascist Assault Divisions' event will most likely have happened by now. If not, it will soon, unless you're really really unlucky. But there is no rush to switch yet. Spend the next 100 PP on 'Improved Worker Conditions', and only then start spending PP on switching ideologies. 'Open Up Political Discourse' will take 75 PP, and the referendum 100. You will lose the good monarchist national spirits, but it's a necessary evil. Once you flip, join the Axis. If you follow this timetable, you should be flipping to fascism when you're in the middle of doing the first extra research slot focus. After it finishes, it's time to spend 70 days without doing any focus, in order to get yourself 10 days ahead of Germany in focus time. I have never, not once, seen the Germans do 'Demand Sudetenland' early enough to warrant waiting these 70 days before taking the research slot. From now on, before taking any focus, watch what Germany's doing. If they're not demanding Sudetenland, work towards the Bled Agreement (I always make sure to save some PP for changing economy laws and such, before these rearmament focuses finish). I prefer taking 'Theoretical Air Efforts' instead of 'War Games', though you'll end up doing both eventually. If they demand Sudetenland, do 'Protect Czechoslovakia'. You are 10 days ahead so you'll finish earlier and the Czechs will almost always accept. I have had them become a puppet twice. If that happens, restart. Germany will demand your Sudetenland. Say no. You are in the Axis, they can't declare, and they won't kick you out. After annexing the Czechs (and doing the Bled Agreement), claim Transylvania. If the Germans do the Second Vienna Award and block your focus, return Northern Transylvania to Romania and you'll be able to do it. Pick Germany for your mediator. The majority of the time I've had Romania give me all of Transylvania. Getting Northern Transylvania is also fine, though beating Romania afterwards will be harder. The outcome where you go to war with them and the Allies warrants a restart. Then do 'March to the Shore'. In the meantime, it might not be a bad idea to take advantage of the 'Reorganize the Railway System' decision to fix the supply situation in Transylvania. Once the focus finishes, justify on Yugoslavia (retake core state). Declare immediately. Romania will be pulled in due to their guarantee. The war should be easy to win. You don't need to train any troops, the ones you get from annexing Austria and Czechoslovakia, as well as your starting troops, are enough. Just make sure to switch them to a good infantry template. I use 9/1, with engineers, support artillery, support anti-air and logistics. You should have 2 full armies and some extra (usually 3) divisions. Use one army to hold the line against Yugoslavia, and the rest to capitulate Romania. Then use everyone on Yugoslavia. Your airforce (fighters and CAS only) should be enough to get you air superiority (first over Romania, then over Yugoslavia). You can use paratroopers to make the war easier, if you want. I usually train 1 full army of 2-width paratroopers, and use them only for Romania. Can't be bothered to use them for Yugoslavia. You will obviously need to increase conscription laws and such. Limited Conscription should be enough for now. In the peace deal, annex only your core states (to be able to click the decision to reintegrate the empire) and make a wall of puppets with the rest, so that you won't have to bother with an Albanian-Greek-Bulgarian front later. After that do what Bitt3r did and kill the Allies. The following peace deal will probably be incomprehensibly retarded. I've had runs where with 15% participation I can get good land in the Dutch East Indies and the Raj for resources, and puppet Britain. And I've had runs where with 20% participation I got nothing. Literally nothing. All I could do was press 'Done'. For production, you'll need trains, trucks, guns, support equipment, artillery, anti-air, fighters, CAS and transport planes. If you plan to use tanks (which I recommend), you should leave 1 factory on Great War tanks, which will later be switched to light tanks, in order to be able to add the armored recon company as a support company to your eventual medium tank division template. Once you've researched medium tanks, switch the light tank production line to them, and re-add a light tank production line with just 1 factory, as before. I use a 42 width template for the mediums, with the same support companies as the infantry, plus the armored recon for the speed. The proportion of tanks to motorized will depend on the doctrine you pick. With Mobile Warfare you can get away with having just 4(!) motorized in your template and still be above 30 org (with 5 support companies). With 25 (eventually) factories on mediums and 3 on trucks (starting early on), I can get 8 of these divs out by March 1942 (which is around when I attack the Axis), and have more than enough trucks in reserve to motorize logistics. One factory is enough for trains. You won't need much more than 5 for guns, since you get a lot of them from annexations. Five is also enough for anti-air. Support equipment will need a few more, and artillery a few more yet. One factory on transport planes, starting from early in the game, will be enough to cover the paradrop needs. After that I delete the line, and the paratroopers. For the planes: Fighters eventually get 40 factories on them, and CAS 25. Extremely important that you get Fighter 3s and CAS 3s at least in 1941 (through the focus tree), and use a designer company for the fighters. Go for Strategic Destruction as your air doctrine, for all the buffs to air superiority mission efficiency and the agility buff for fighters. Battlefield Support is better if you can guarantee air superiority, as it buffs your CAS, but against the Germans I find that in order to achieve green air, I need all the buffs I can get for my fighters. After building all the mils you need, start building synthetics, and take advantage of the focus tree to get all the rubber techs. I don't think the oil ones are necessary. You have a puppet Romania and the middle east to trade with. You'll probably start the war with the Axis with a rubber deficit, but eventually you will get enough synthetics to take care of it, especially with all the techs. Your fighters should have priority in the production queue anyway, so it's mostly CAS production that will suffer in the beginning. That's fine. Fighters are what will destroy the enemy airforce. As for how many infantry divisions you'll need, I find that one army group is enough for the German border, and then around 2,5-3 armies are enough for the rest (initial Italian front + port guards). The fact that your puppets constantly make troops for you, and the fact that you can request control of their forces, will help. If you don't have La Resistance, Vichy France will be an active participant, but it's fine. If you push up to the Alps, you can hold there indefinitely, with around 36 divisions. Once Italy had fallen, the AI let me get green air over the alpine region with just 100 fighters and 100 CAS. Ironically, the biggest RNG factor here is how early the Germans will attack the Soviets. In my games, they always attack super early, so by March 1942 they are near the Urals and the Soviets are almost capitulated. Remember to leave the Axis when the war goal that the Germans have on you expires. I think it helps the Soviets a bit. When you decide to attack the Axis, justify on Italy to retake core states. It will take 15 days and Italy will be almost wide open. Knock them out first (I find I don't need a naval invasion), then cut Germany in half like Bitt3r did and make encirclements. With enough destroyed German divisions you'll eventually win. Take what you need in the peace deal. If the Soviets take something you need, don't worry, they are useless trash. Declare and kill them.

i FINALLY got this achievement. OMG...I lost count the number of times I had to restart. OH, BTW, you do NOT need to build a battleship. Taking them off your puppets when you annex gives you the achievement. I annexed France after puppetting them and got it. I didn't even have to make the guy an admiral. I just got it once a BB was in my fleet.

THANK YOU!!! I love austria hungary, and even restored the old ww1 holdings, but by that point, germany was way to strong to take on and I was completely unable to get the achievement.

One nice way to get kind of a head start in naval production as A-H is to ask a license from Germany once you join the axis. They have good subs and decent other ships to use. That way you don't have to spend all that research and xp to make your own right away.

Regarding the construction bug: there actually is a fix you can do without restarting - if you just spam construction of whatever (infrastructure, factories, doesn't matter as long as you hit multiple states), it'll eventually "reset", and go back to the top.

my advise would be turn off historical mode, 50% of the time the german will go monarchist, that when you can create a faction with them, and then just world conquest, you can take everything because you are faction learder, after that, just betray them, not a clean move, but a easy one

(Barbarossa) If you can't see the Germany focus its because you dont have high enough civil intel (some patch probably changes the value required to see active focus progress) Instead of one spy put two spy near each other(not in the same region but close enough) in the Germany until your spy network max out(ignore the german land in poland) then put one spy on quiet network to hold the entire spy network. This should give you above 70% civil intel which you need to see active focus progress, if this is still not enough you may need to infiltrate their civilian sector. Hope this help.

Great guide! I got it total on my 35th try. I would advice doing it on 1.10.5. After annexing Austria you should go for Bled. Also farming warscore in London helped me a lot.

bled gives you a big negative against chances for Czechs, cuts your chance by more than half. never do it before rolling for Czechoslovakia

Okay out of all the achievements I’ve done, this seems to be the most RNG one, from Austria randomly saying no to Czechoslovakia saying maybe becoming an annoying puppet to damn Romania calling in the allies for Transylvania. This achievement is horror.

Amazing video as always. I am sad I do not have LR dlc, so I cannot follow exactly these steps. I am still trying to get the Czechs to return to the crown... but RNG is not kind to me. However, this achievement is an abomination... not just the RNG involved on it, but the whole thing of knocking out UK and then dismantling the Axis...

@@Bitt3rSteel oh yeah, and I tried your One King, Two Crowns guide, and ended up in an Endsieg against the Axis, where it's 1946 and they can't get past the Pyrenees, but I can't advance because Air and Fuel. I'll win eventually, but I need to let the axis grind another 30 million troops first. On the other hand, I did encircle 150 divisions with 1.36 million Germans in them in India, so the run is worth it for that screenshot if nothing else.

I cannot get the Austrians to accept at all, I've done the whole run from scratch 7 times now. I honestly don't know if that's vegas luck or not but I'm half temped to turn off the historical ai just to at least get further in the run

How does Germany get so much war score all the time? They clearly didn't do anything other than take out Poland... how does defeating literally everyone else not count for more? This is the only reason I have player-led peace conferences. This mechanic is kind of broken...

All of the majors are given artificially inflated war scores to make sure scripted peace conferences (US-Japan, Allies-Axis) go with out a hitch.

Two reasons. 1) Germany has more casualties taken, AH has superior tactics and forces. 2) Germany engages in more battles, blunt wasteful assaults that cost them manpower (see #1)

@Loj32 Whenever I do player led peace conferences, I usually give the AI a reasonable chunk, but it can cut down on the border gore and cases where the AI only gets land because they ran their face into a brick wall for hours while I actually won the battles. (TBH, from a verisimilitude perspective, I think it makes some sense to have lost manpower count towards warscore, as when you're talking about peace conferences, numbers killed is hard to judge, and more importantly, less persuasive than "we bled/died for this", but I feel like, also from a verisimilitude perspective, if most of those deaths come from running face first into fortified units, doing little to no damage, the other participants in the conference should be free to disregard that.)

I hope to pull this of one day. Last time i had everything in place, but bulgarya was completely filled with Italians so i failed. Next time ill try harder ;-)

Great video, results guaranteed. Happy to help out of course. For this video, I would say that tanks are almost mandatory. The Hungarian focus tree gives a lot of bonuses for tanks and airforce, but almost nothing for infantry or even artillery. You'd be handicapping yourself going for 7-2's. Also, I did this run several times now, and the ones with tanks were infinitely easier.

Thank you for making something that the ai will try to ruin as much as possible actually possible and fun without having to annex 60% of the world

43:21 Instead of restarting to fix that bug, you can just spam the construction tab with infrastructure for example to fix it easier.

The funny thing is that I've done this both with pure luck on your old guide, but also with the stuff you implemented with the new guide. Mainly with regards to the paratroopers, and the non agression packs on the Czechs and Germans to ensure they don't kill me :). Also in a random game I was bored and somehow made the Empire game, I became surrounded as Poland joined the axis and I was able to only get my cores and Yugo. Was fun though trying to hold them.

completed the achievement a while ago but this is a much better way to do it. You should go back and complete some achievements from past dlc now that everything is completed for them and new dlc might of changed some stuff. One idea would be the spanish civil war achievements.

If you're looking for a more youtube friendly way to refer to secret agent poison capsules I think I recall reading they were refered to as "L-pills" by the UK in ww2 (the L stood for leathal).

Great guide finally managed the achievement it still took me a few goes though.

I actually follow some different strats that seemed to work for me : 1. Declaring war to Austria can be beneficial since you can get War Economy really early 2. Going to the F ideology allows you to join the axis early so the germans won't attack you (You will never annex Czekoslovakia but if you have enough relations with them they will become integrated puppets so it will be easier to annex them by decisions) 3. For Transylvania I think (from experience) that siding with Italy usually gives the best result (anyway not that important since you're going to war with Yougoslavia at the same time) 4. After having reintegrated the Empire which happens to me near the end of 1938 it is quite interesting to take out italy, take your cores and make them a puppet to take their navy and then join the germans agaisnt the allies etc... I don't know if it works as well as the strategy you gave (I have to say the trick to get Czekoslovakia was great) but for me it worked well so here it is... Anyway Great video from my favorite Hoi4 youtuber ^^

I'm not sure but for the achievement I think you need Otto as your leader. With the F ideology he gets replaced. Declaring on austria solves a few problems yes, but it makes the czechs less likely to accept annexation. It is probably the preferred way to go for early expansion though.

@@antasil5768 Yeah right if you want the achievements this strategy is not valid. Anyway I tried this like an hour after to see if it worked and apart from a Bulgaria that somehow justified a war goal on Yougoslavia screwing me up, I got Austria and Czekoslovakia annexed in the end of 1937 and I got all of transylvania by asking Italy. (that Bulgaria destroyed all my dreams howeverl)

Recently I noticed that Germany lets Italy push all the way into Paris before moving to garrison the coast after France falls.

I had just given up on your old version. This well timed. Truly you do Gods work. My campaign to deceive my friends into believing me to be competent at this game continues. You are at this point an accomplice to a deception most foul. Just last night I rattled off some nonsense about naval supremacy. They totally bought it. Here's a fun fact. Did you know that if you go to total mobilisation (on the grounds you have unlimited Man Power) and have a volunteer army, then the resulting negative recruitable population modifier sets you manpower to 0, going from 5 million to 0 in one day? I didn't.

I feel this, my friend who's never played the game before is under the impression that I'm in any way good at this game muahahaha

i have followed every step you have showed in this video, but the czechs do NOT always accept every time. i had to restart about 4 times to get them to accept even with max spy pressure, integrated railroads, max improved relations, army on the border. of the 4 runs i did using your tactic, austria also refused 1 time so its still not 'NO RNG' unfortunatly.

Did you check what focus the Germans were on at the time?

I had a hard time doing this on historycal so i turned IT of. I went for an erly fast war with yogoslavia romania and france germany helped me a lot with IT then fasict UK and Italy. Italy like Italy died fast and the UK died after paradrops. In the end i had to take down germany. The war starteed in 1941 and lasted to 1946....... I joined the comiter with hope for a fast victory but spain joiened germany and about 40 milion people died for this achievment. This was pure pain and took me 8h to finaly do it. Thx for the guide IT helped me a lot.

An easy fix for the construction menu glitch is to build more stuff, whatever, that would force the list to reset itself.

What keeps getting me is the US joins before i can finish off the UK fast enough. I will point out that the aircraft exploit for manpower still works and is very beneficial for this achievement :)

Hey, I just found out that boosting your non aligned party popularity in Austria and Czechoslovakia as well as improving relations will get them to join you in the first attempt.

This is a great guide, but for some reason I'm really bothered by the title of the video saying "NO RNG", when there is a chance of random failure - even though it's supposedly quite small. I've had the Austrians refuse twice in a row now, and I see in the comments that other people have the same issue.

it says minimal rng. minimal meaning as little as possible, not zero

Just managed to get until the Axis backstab part. got 2 full army groups ready, more than 4k state of the art fighters, etc etc. the moment i went for it, my 7/2 full equiped divisions could not even break the bulgarian ones. Not to speak of the german ones running around back from the Urals on S. deployment. They would defend multiple attacks with no org in a matter of hours. Only managed to get Italy down to 40 ish % capitulation holding rome and etc, but all my northern fronts collapsed in a couple weeks. Not my first attempt mind you, everytime German divisions are unbreakable. Im shelving this one for the time being. Got the BS achiv tho =P so tnx for that ^^

Well, i just couldnt help myself and tried again. Invaded England. Defeated it. Got into peace conference. First place 200 points above Germany. Everything is taken. I can only press DONE. With 611 points just sitting there. Let me be clear, everything was taken the moment the Conference went up. Not a single division of my allies landed on England mind you, it was only me. I cant even.

Love your guides. But I wish they came with a set of save files so we could jump in to them at various points and can enjoy playing through a alt history campaign. Some of us are noobs and takes days to complete campaigns in hoi4!

It looks like the RNG is still present to a degree. All worked fine the first time but I rushed the NAP with Germany so I had to restart and then Austria or the Czechs screw me over. Once I got to the UK but couldn't actually land there. Good vid though.

this achievement needs to be fixed ridiculous how random it is

I've been chasing this one for so long. One question: the diplomatic pressure for referenda...do we know that has an impact? I've always used it to get non-aggression for additional relationship, because it was unclear whether it was having any effect.

If you get a non aggressive pact with Austria and CzechioSlovakia would they be more likely to accept the Referendums as it improves relations, or would they decline since they know you cannot declare war on them just wondering

Yes pupeting them take a long time and you need that factorys and man power for later wars

Alternatively, one can also join the Axis to see what Germany is going to do as opposed to using spies. If you end up in a war with the Allies alongside Germany, they won't bother going to war with you and their CB for Sudetenland expires in 2 years. Also, there are only three factors that affect the Czech decision to join. 1) are they not in a faction? (doubles chance of joining) 2) are they threatened by you? (doubles chance of joining) 3) has Germany started either of Demand Sudetenland or the focus that takes the rest of Czechoslovakia? (multiplies chance of joining by 10 or 5 if Czech is in a faction)

Thanks for the video xD, I have been trying to get this achivement for months now and I just can't get it.

I may be bugged and due for a cache clear, it's really still a toss-up for both the Austrians and the Czechs. The Czechs flat out refuse me about 50% of the time for some reason, same with Austrians. Still managed to make it work on other games tho, great guide!

Okay been awhile but I found out a few things. The reason Austria kept refusing is because I didn't have the trade partners boost from free trade. Also, a few things have changed and I am no longer able to see Germanys current focus unless I infiltrate civilian economy, used to not have to do that. I'd recommend infiltrating asap to get that intel.

Also, on NSB, Germany may demand Sudetenland BEFORE memel. Be aware of that. To see the focus you may have to do a lot of spy stuff in Germany as well

What is the best air doctrine for this?

Can someone please help me, I am.playing the same version but the focus tree is literally different, it doesnt have the focuses he has, I have all the dlcs

I got really lucky, I rushed to Austria's Referendum and they rejected so we went to war and Treaty of T. got removed so I went war economy and Volunteer only. While in war I researched Integrated Railworks, improved relations with Chez and put pressure on them as well ass started justifying on Yugoslavia (world tension was big enough because of my war). After the war I started "Protect Czechoslovakia" and when there was 1 day left I started fabricating war goal on USA for big world tension (someone said that world tension improves chances of them accepting annexation, but be wary, this needs to be 1 day before and sometimes France/England guarantee Yugoslavia in 2-3 days). Chez accepted annexation and I canceled war goal vs USA. When my claim on Yugo was done, 2-3 weeks after annexation of Chez, world tension was at 24 (LUCKY) and before Germany even started "Demand Sudentenland" I had Romania, Yugoslavia, Austria and Czechoslovakia under me. Was easy to do achievement after that but this was a lot of RNG.

That focus tree is part of Death or Dishonor

For Austria-Hungary I like to leave historical mode off because if they decide to shoot Mr. Shmitler you get another monarchist country to ally.
