they can't. They just emptied out their whole oil, unless they open to trade (to soviet union or middle east if its not blockaded/embargoed). one of the reason they invaded the soviet was a hope to capture the Caucasus oil.

​​@@Omega343666I think this is the farthest reaching thought, but hear me out: The German Empire becomes a democracy based on the US and establishes friendly terms with the US by trading, and giving support to things like the Spanish-American War. To gain even further sympathy, Germany could try the Bismarck strategy, and smke it seem like the triple Entente declared war on them. Germany would stay away from doing war Crimes and crimes against Humanity, so the large German population within the US would sway the government to support Germany. This of course is as realistic as the Romans finding alien technology and conquering the planet with lazers, even if this all happened the US would most likely stay truly neutral instead of joining Germany.

I really like how you give context for what if’s. It really sets the stage for what will happen, and I am an absolute history lover. In my opinion, to answer a “what-if” question, you have to answer the questions “how and why did (something) happen” and “why and how did (historical change) happen?”. If you don’t ask and answer these questions, then the what-if question is harder to answer.

If you want the soviets to win the Cold War you would have to start right from the start of the USSR, making them more democratic-federalized, otherwise there is no way for the oppressive and authoritarian communist regime to keep power

They would have to occupy all of Mexico first, in real life, the French were never able to conquer all of the country.

Stakuyi one thing about the history of the ottomans. Sultan abdulhamid was purged away before 1910 by the young turks and he was on the way of uniting the empire which was fragmenting by nationalism. If he had stayed in power a united ottoman empire may have won the war but more likely would have not even participiated in ww1 because it only participated because of enver pasha who let german ships to bomb russian ports trough the bosphorus and supplied them with the ottoman flags to force the rest of the pashas who did not want to participate to go into war

overall not a whole lot would realistically change for greece. Greece would of course be in a theoretically better position (debatable due to how devastating the war actually was esspecially for greece compared to what Greece actually obtained) due to winning the conflict but overall much of what happened in our timeline would remain in the one where Greece defeats the Ottoman empire/Turkey. Additionally with a loss in the greco-turkish war The Treaty of Sèvres likely would have remained at least in some capacity. It only particularly gets interesting in ww2 in which the Turkish/ottoman government would likely be significantly more inclined to join the Axis (with concessions by italy in removing it's zone of control). Of course the Allies still remain victorious in such a timeline albiet the war likely finds itself dragged out by a few months at least but presumably not much more than that.

I can notice the sadness in his voice when the Central Powers lose
