Actually, you may be surprised how many of us don’t feel that way about it. As someone who attended Hogwarts from 1999-2006, it was always nice to get back together with friends and finally be allowed to use magic again, but most of us were just as glad to be returning home and getting a break from all that studying. I imagine many of the people reading this are Muggles and only know about Hogwarts from the perspective of one kid who had a really terrible home life.

the harry potter movies make me feel so nostalgic even though it’s so different from our real lives. it warms my heart to see some edits people make who i can only imagine feel the same. it’s just sad that no one in my direct circle can even remotely relate when i tell them how the movies make me feel, they all just look at me like i’m crazy but i feel like they’ll always have a special spot in my heart. always :)

They feel nostalgic because we grew up with them and it draw us into a wonderful fantasy world, where we followed some little kids into hogwarts while we were little kids ourselves. As they grew up in the movies, we grew with them. Harry Potter also did a great job at teaching us values and what really counts in life, like family, friendship, doing the right thing even if others won't agree with it. Me and my sister both grew up with harry potter and it's still the most nostalgic movie series to us. I can definitely relate to how you feel.

I definitely grew up with the books. I read the first one when I was in 6th grade, equivalent to a Hogwarts first-year, and I read the final one the summer after my first year in college. I guess in a way I was going to Hogwarts all that time.

It's actually the most annoying part is that ppl say stuff like its childish to have a hp obsession when you're older, though they don't understand is that it is what we grew up with, it is actually a part of us...to me it was my mode of escapism and it still is.

Dumbledore: "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live..." me: continues watching videos like these every night while falling asleep

You set the standard for Harry Potter ambience videos. I love it.

For me, the brilliance of this video is in the title. The "first night" anywhere new brings with it a very specific feeling of the beginning of a new adventure. Seeing that title did half the work of setting the mood for me. 👍

I was trying to sleep, I ended up crying because I remembered Robbie, it's sad but I know he wouldn't want any of us to suffer for him, instead he would want us to keep smiling and remember him as a great actor and that humble, warm giant who took care of Hogwarts.

He was wonderful! And it infuriates me that there were sick minded people cheering his death, simply because he took up for JK. But karma is a you know what, and has a way of paying people like that, back in full. 😉

This was always one of my favorite scenes in the movie. The music was different and really beautiful and it has a solemn, somber feel. So good.

Im 24 years old and I remember the feeling of going to the movies to see the New Harry Potter movie. It bring me so much memories of my childhood.

Listening to this and suddenly I'm back to Hogwarts. Thanks for recreating the same homeful atmosphere of the books and movies. After all this time I still feel home at Hogwarts, always.

Harry Potter will always have a special place the nostalgia of the songs and feeling of the movies are a masterpiece. I grew up with them so when your young its special. There are not so many eras of movies that you had to see since the beginning anymore and im happy than im part of this one 🙏🏼

Imagine (I probably bore you all 😹) It's the first night of Hogwarts, you just got sorted to y/h (your Hogwarts house). Everyone has fallen asleep in your dorm except for you. You sat by the large windows watching the Hogwarts grounds at night. There were owls hooting around you and cool air rushing by. You relaxed yourself not knowing when you fell asleep

It took me a while to get to sleep that first night in 1999. I don’t sleep easily when I’m in unfamiliar surroundings and I was just that excited after everything that happened with the train and the boat ride and the sorting and the feast that I had to spend a few hours processing everything.

I just wanna say thank you so much for making these. They help me out tremendously to sleep or relax. Seriously no other amsr channel is as good as you. I love these themed videos so much. Thank you. Don’t stop making them!

I don't exactly remember but it was somewhat like Ravenclaws had very long and large windows which opened up towards the faraway mountainous landscapes and felt more open and well lit as compared to the gryffindor common room. Something like that.
