I give props to the devs for making the killing curse an insta kill spell regardless of whatever level the enemies are while giving it a long cool down to balance it out. It would be annoyingly immersion breaking to see enemies tanking the killing curse purely because they are level higher than you.

Funnily enough it's not actually an instant kill. I tried it on the boss ranrok doesn't do any damage and I tried it on the exclusive quest box boss it only took one line off his health so I had to cast it 4 or 3 times for it to actually die and I tried it on the shop keeper women boss same thing had to cast it 3 times to kill her

I love the way the devs manage to make you feel super guilty and super powerful after you learn the unforgivable curses. Even hollow went mad with power!

The sign he waved with the wand to learn avada kadavra is the same mark harry had on his forehead 😯 nice detail! enjoyed whole series 🔥

It's a great detail that the wand movement for Avada Kedavra is the same shape as Harry's curse, considering how he survived it

Just what I came here to say!

i played this game as slytherin and did these quests before completing the main story idk if its just me but slytherin house just fits the games story with all the early dialogs and quests, plus that laugh at 21:00 he just feels the power.

The silence after you first casted the killing spell on that troll gets me EVERY TIME.

You could chose the option "no one should know that curse" and still unlock Avada Kedavra, it's the way I did it. I just met Sebastian in the undercroft after the quest and he taught me.

Damn I am so relieved!!! I played the last of his missions yesterday and instinct made me pick “nobody should know that curse” after he just said to meet him in the undercroft without showing me that’s when I was like wait nooooooo then turned my Xbox off🤣 been watching videos all day trying to figure out if I can still get the curse so hell yeah! Thank you my good sir or madam

I wonder how A.K would have done in the final quests of the main story? Like against Harlow and so on... It's kinda funny however, kill hundrets of goblins as well as wizards by burning them, crushing them, cursing them and what not and It's completely fine. But use a curse that kills swiftly and painless, oooh no thats dark art 😅

Thats the thing about this game lol. We have a minor killing ppl and creatures all throughout the game waaay before he even gets the killing curse. This could become quite a controversial issue with some ppl.

Some people have tried it with some the bosses in the exclusive DLC and couldn't or it would only take a bar of health. This is super smart to do so you can't cruise through the main story.

It works on Harlow(kinda) he doesn't die but if you hit him with it the duel instantly ends with him being defeated.

The fact that this is a Side Quest is unbelievable🔥. Upcoming games definitely need to take notes from this📝😂

Actually, if you miss the dialogue option to unlock the curse you can still unlock it. Just go back to the Undercroft and Sebastian should be there and will teach you it.

@@bboss9695 Honestly I'm not entirely sure what the requirements are, but I had done this quest, missed the opportunity to get the curse and then after doing some other stuff I went to the Undercroft and he was there. I already had the first two curses, but I am pretty sure you can learn all 3 from him if you miss them in the quests.

@@leb91han I didn't turn him in no. I didn't actually realise that happens if you turn him in. Perhaps you can't turn him in either then otherwise you may genuinely miss out on the curses. Interesting.

I am a little confused as to why the Cruciatus Curse works on Inferi in this game. The books clearly establish that they can't feel pain since they're already dead. We know this because Harry tries using the Sectumsempra curse on them, but they don't even recoil when he does.

After playing the whole game Hallow still doesn't get that unless they're on fire the Inferi don't take any damage.

There is a side quest in hogesmede where it lets you buy a shop after you help the Little elf penny, i would love too see you do That quest because its an easter egg in it. Much love hallow

Only just got the game on switch and completed it but had previously seen clips on KZread of this storyline, and I was so shocked when playing for myself that this was a SIDE QUEST! I was so much more invested with Sebastian, Anne and ominis than I was with the main ancient magic stuff haha. I wanted to learn the killing curse so I chose the ‘everyone should know it’s dialogue, but didn’t agree that Sebastian’s only option was to kill soloman. When MC started saying ‘you had to do it, you were brave’ I was yelling “no No NO, shut up me!”

One of the fastest ways to kill inferius is to use confringo, incendio, the yellow/ gold transformation spell and bombardo 3 of the 4 do fire damage and the transformation spell can transform enemies into explosive barrels if you have that talent unlocked

The unforgivables are so satisfying to use Avada kedavra especially, I needed dugbogs for my challenges and my character was like “this is a pleasant place”… then I found one as I said that and then AVADA KEDAVRA

If you didn't notice, when you learn the spell the shape is a lightening bolt, like the one on Harry's head.

Please dont stop this series !

In my opinion the finisher which turns your enemy into a chicken is more gruesome than litteraly "just" dying... Imagine the consequences for yourself If you just got turned into a chicken

I would not say everyone should know that curse only my character...."That curse is powerful can i ask you to teach me?" or "If i know that curse I shoot your unkel down before he destroys the relic" tease should be option but "no one should" that is even more detestable to say for a proper wizard Blue or Black :D

I've done 2 playthroughs of the game and I still don't understand why Solomon attacked me. He just assumed I was guilty of using dark magic when I never did...He assumed I was doing what Sebastian did and attacked both of us. Oddly enough, I did everything I could not to hit him with any spells despite him attacking. The only thing I really did was stupefy because his spells rebounded off my protego shield.

I purchased the digital deluxe version for the PC and while I’ve had fun playing, there’s major stuttering issues and takes away from the overall experience. I hope they fix it soon. Hogwarts castle is not too terrible, but hogsmeade is atrocious

I defended Sebastian the whole time and I completely understand why he did it. In his eyes his uncle just killed his sister by destroying the best thing to save her. In the boss fight Sebastian literally says “you are suppose to protect us” and the uncle says “I am” as he’s trying to kill you

They were both stubborn to the point of insanity. Sebastian was so stubborn he ignored that his sister did not want to be saved at the cost of using dark magic. He was just going to force the cure on her, no matter what it cost him, her, or anyone else. He totally lost perspective. People have a right to refuse care, especially THAT kind of care.
