Bought the game on release and I've gotta say...this is a masterpiece. I highly recommend, I'll give it a solid 9.5/10

This is not new news. In 2004 when I graduated highschool they were supposedly making an rpg open world Harry Potter game. Never happened. It fell apart. There was also rumours of an online MMO but that also never happened. I was so excited with this game - even with the choppy slow animation... Until I realised this is a single player. Gargh. I was hoping for an online mmo!! Well at least they have decided to actually pursue an open world rpg for Harry Potter. But well.. Let's see how open world it actually is... If they say there are unlimited choices and places you can go and then it turns into pay to play or the choices are not really choices and don't matter... That would anger me lol. 😂

man, how far we have come is insane. all that waiting for the game and its finally here

This game could actually change the gaming world if they give voice-activated spells - proper pronunciation only activate the spell (Not everyone could acquire spells without practising / Cheat proof) - not frequent pressing of buttons gives you an advantage in online gaming (A pronunciation pattern will take time, so no sudden advantage in fighting) - how much you remember will affect your gameplay experience (not just as a game, but players will remember this game forever) people will tend to speak the spell in their normal life too (after all it will be in your vocabulary) and will be fun to have a wizarding world of our own

"Your potential is limitless; but what form will it take?" Basically my thoughts on the game.

@Malay Ghosh True, If they can truly give the experience of Hogwarts, the game would be LEGENDARY. They even have the NextGen tag in it so they have to provide an experience that every Harry Potter fan has been dreaming about... ITS A VERY BIG RESPONSIBILITY.

I am now 34yo and I grew up with the Harry Potter franchise, I’m a big fan! (Duh I even got a deathly hallows tattoo😏). I can tell you I bought a new PlayStation just so I can play this game! Playing it now and the magic is beyond amazing. The way it makes you feel.. so nostalgic! The music, the scenery, the spells, the castle and everything that this game holds.. wauw just wauw! Bravo!! 👏🏼

So looking forward to this, but would be even more amazing if they added VR! Imaging actually walking around, moving your hands to do the spells, saying the words to cast them. Would be so amazing.... Hopefully they or someone implements it. One can dream.

I feel like this game will be the closest we'll ever get to studying at Hogwarts.

I love the fact they got the narrator from the PS1 era to do the voiceover too

TRUE FACT: Dumbledore said that Hogwarts is a place that contains a lot of powerful ancient magic for centuries which is why he explain during the time Tom Riddle wants to apply for the DADA post, dumbledore rejected that request because not only to stop him from recruiting more followers but to prevent him from his goals to unlocking the many ancient secrets from hogwarts, this amazing school really had a lot of history

I hope the full castle is explorable and not just certein sections while having other spots barricaded with invisable barriers
