Yamaoka is a genius. Sh1 and Sh2 dark ambient soundtracks are masterpieces. This music best expresses fear, horror, madness. It wouldn't be true a Silent Hill without him.

i hope they understand what every enemy represents, especially pyramid head as they have turned that guy into more of a mascot than the powerful character he is

Silent Hill 2 broke me, it was probably the most beautiful game I've ever played, and the fact it's being remade is a blessing

Unbeknownst of English at that time, I’ll always remember SH2 as the game that teached me the meaning of *broken*. 80% of door locks in this game are broken. As is my trust in Konami. But I’ll give them a chance to regain my trust. Now go, let the legend come back to life!

It seems the trailer showed at 2024 State of Play was made with and old build of the game, also the guys who made the trailer messed up with the sound, while adding the music and cutted some frequency resulting weird shooting sound.

@@davecarsley8773 It really does look amazing. Sure the outdoors and animation look dated, but the interiors look incredible to this day. Full of detail and the atmosphere is unmatched. Also the actual dynamic lighting/shading looks even better than other games that came out years later.

I wish my mom were alive to see this. We were introduced to the series together♡ Many late nights were spent with me by her side, helping her with puzzles and getting scared shitless... I didn't care about sleep or school the next day. The Town That Takes All demanded my attention... I hope this remake does justice.

Because the people involved in the combat side of things were hired for their specific expertise, and they are under the direction of Masahiro Ito's direction... for some reason. The traditional Bloober Team isn't doing everything themselves.

"I can't tell you to remember me, But I can't bear for you to forget me"... This line hit me pretty hard as a kid playing the original game...

If their was ever a game that deserved a remake . . . then THIS is it!

If you spend sonmuch time with Marie, he wont want ti leave her back, and so on. How is that a mediocre system? Do you really prefer a binary option to choose. We already had SH homecoming with yamaoka on board for the soundtrack and that game was terrible, having doubts that having just one more person from team silent as monster designer is going to suddenly turn the entire franchise around, especially when bloober hasn't made any noteable games.

I truly hope Akira Yamaoka kept to the same ambient sounds and creepy music. I'd love a mix of the old and new, of course. Akira has been one of my music composing inspirations, for sure. The way a simple sound can turn the spine to ice isn't as easy at it seems. To me, in my opinion, he's one (if not THE) best composers of erie sounds that will seep into your brain and take you where you never would want to go.

There are hidden details like the wrong pupil direction in the public restroom mirror hidden in contrast. And some effects like the random mumbling audio that perfectly sounds like James thoughts. Silent Hill 2 from 2001 is too hard to remaster without loss. Already James face is not bad, but different and his voice is generic low tone.

@@SilentHillFetishist eeshh maybe it's time for bloober to communicate with series long fans for this one, it's obvious that there are many subtle details that could be lost to time due to lack of ports and the remake needs to do all this without a solid grasp. Like you said this is too difficult without the original team so maybe bloober can bring some of the directors on board or at least show them their script and details.

in my restless dreams, i see that trailer, silent hill. Konami promised us they'd show it again someday, but they never did (cancelled like P.T)... well, we're alone here now, in our special place, waiting for the remake

I only played through this game once in my life and it was back then when i was a teenager. But I remember every single scene in this trailer. It was a super intense experience that was burned in my brain.

I run through it every couple of years. The game has always haunted me. At this stage its comfort food for me.

I’m ready to go back to silent hill. I felt all kinds of emotions stirring up inside me watching this and remembering younger me being scared shitless to go through the next door and now all these years later it is time for us to open that door again. It is time to revisit the beauty, the horror, the sadness and joy that was Silent Hill 2. It’s in our special place, waiting for us.

I am truly, truly hope they have the original soundtrack, the random noises that make you jump out of your skin even though nothing's happening. The sound effect of the doors opening/closing even. The Genius of Akira Yamaoka needs to be introduced to newer Generations so they can know what Real Horror is and not this new age cheap stuff they push out.

Just came back from watching the State Of Play, I can not wait anymore for this game to release. I'm so stoked!!!!

Every day I come here and watch this masterpiece. I just love Silent Hill 2. It's the best game i've ever played, and this is the best video game trailer of all time, in my opinion. Please, Bloober Team, do a great job! PS: I probably watched this trailer a thounsand times. I'm not joking lol. It simply never gets boring.

I can relate to you, man! I have seen this trailer hundreds of times, yet the excitement and desire to come back to Silent Hill with James and relive his wanderings toward the truth are always the same
