Good video and you explain the theory well, but when you're labeling charts, although it may be of little importance bc you explain it, could you say the acronyms. I'm taking notes bc KZread is a far better resource than the books the test makers provide for the SHRM CP/SCP exam. What does the " I" in UAI stand for and for LTOWVS.... My guess is Uncertainty Avoidance Index and Long Term Orientation W Vs. Short???

  • @MisterSimplify

Hi Niket. The model has a few shortcomings as explained in the tutorial. So it's not in use in its entirety anywhere today. But variations of the model can be seen in use in companies like IKEA. And the model itself was based on the structure of IBM in the 80s.

When I watch videos about this model in each of the presenters feel embarrassed about Femininity and Masculinity point, they emphasize that it is actually not about gender. Why you are doing so? It is a scientific fact that women are more intuitive and think less in a calculative manner than men do.

  • @MisterSimplify

Hi Raziya. I don't know about others, but I did so because Hofstede himself clarifies what he refers to as masculinity and what he refers to as femininity. So it was important to state his inference.
