"Oh come on, it's just a bunch of Hocus Pocus." Fun Fact: Brother and sister filmmakers Garry Marshall and Penny Marshall play husband and wife. He's the one dressed as Satan. Statue's Story Fact: There were seven statues made of Bette Midler for the scene in which she bursts in the sunlight toward the end of the movie. One of the statues, along with Winnie's spell book, is housed at the Planet Hollywood restaurant in Orlando, Florida. Historical Fact: While researching her family history, Sarah Jessica Parker was shocked to discover that her 10th great-grandmother, Esther Elwell, was arrested in Salem, MA in the late 1600s for committing "sundry acts of witchcraft" and choking a neighbor to death. Esther's case never went to court, she escaped with her life as the Salem Witch Trials came to an end.

Hi BigGator5. So is Penny Marshall Laverne? I guess I could look that up too. :). If we ever get to go back to Orlando, Florida; we will need to go take a picture with the statue and spell book. Thanks for the info. We went to Salem, MA over 15 years ago and would have loved to know this information while there.

Siblings playing spouses was the creepiest part of the whole movie.

Linda Stricker ...They are actors and they didn't do anything but argue (if I remember correctly). Stop it.

I remember going to see this with my mom. I was 18-19 years old. As we stood outside the theater waiting to go in, someone walked out of the theater and commented to the person they were with “That was really good!” Mom and I looked at each other and were so excited. This movie did not disappoint!

Hocus Pocus is a great halloween movie. I quote it often and have a magnet on my car saying I lit the black flame candle. My first video of you two was Forrest Gump and I started to comment on the fact your wife said why did everyone pick that movie for her. Having watched you on this one now too ... I completely understand why Forrest Gump was chosen for you guys to watch. Its not that we want to see her ugly cry, but instead, it really seems like she gets into the movies. She moves closer, or leans into/towards the screen, she laughs and does jump scares. I really enjoyed watching so far the two reviews I have tried. I am definitely subscribing and look forward to going through some of your other videos. The Princess Bride and Steel Magnolias is my two favorite movies but at least on one of those, she will ugly cry. True Lies and True Romance are my two favorite action movies.

The undertones of this movie is actually kind of disturbing (3 grown adults luring children to suck their souls) but I guess the producers figured they could get away with it because the sisters are witches, and the way they portrayed their characters was comical and entertaining….whereas if it was warlocks “male witches” it would be much worse. As for Emily Binx, she was in a trance which is why she seemed pretty calm when the witches sucked her soul and actually if you rewatch the scene right after they turn around and reveal how young they look after killing Emily, if you look closely at her….Amanda Shepard “Emily Binx” was moving a bit just cause she was a kid in this movie and had a hard time staying still.

Great reaction! To celebrate its 25th anniversary, a book was published which was the first time in novel format and a sequel. It follows Poppy, the daughter of Max and Allison, who accidentally summoned the Sanderson sisters back and this time they possess her parents along with Dani. If you loved Thora Birch, Dani, I recommend Monkey Trouble, it’s about a girl and a kleptomaniac monkey, and Alaska. For Kathy Najimy, I recommend Sister Act and Sister Act 2 with Whoopi Goldberg and Maggie Smith. For Bette Midler, I must recommend The First Wives Club, Drowning Mona, and Oliver and Company. 💚❤️💜📖👁🕯🧪🐈‍⬛🎃
