I just love the fact you had time lapse in your clip... I really appreciate when folk go that extra step, so thumbs up there.... I have purchased the 150a pro, so I don't think water proof will apply with it. Also bought the Leopard 2000Kv 4274 motor which I now think is a bit of over kill for my slash sc10. Just waiting on 5mm bore pinions to arrive. 19T>28T on 6s should be funny. Cheers for the clip as I purchased that card aswell.

Thanks for the thorough walk through. I have 2 Hpi Sprint 2s that came with Castle ESCs so I bought their Castle Link Cable and for whatever reason my new Hpi Bullet has an EZrun ESC. I was wondering if the Hobbywing programmer was worth getting and thanks to your video I will get it.

i really like the fact that the ESC all have the ability to have 3 profiles, so in 2wd buggy, i just hook up the programming card, switch to turbo allowing me to run open buggy class as well, just with a few clicks on the programming card. i wish they would add a bluetooth module, so setting changes can be done wirelessly through the phone, that would be so cool, and cut down on time needed to program the esc, i would be willing to spend 50 bucks more just to have that feature

word indeed :-) i can update and tell, that i now run HW in all my cars (17.5 2wd buggy(tlr22 and B4.2), 17.5 stadium truck, 17.5 2wd SCT, open SCT) and i love them, the 150A HW splash test, was done by driving through a puddle of water i had not seen, everything got sparyed with water and when i opened it up it was dry inside the case

good video man wondering if you can help me out im thinking of getting the hobbywing ezrun max8 combo for my arrma talion truggy would i need to change the stock gearings? to run it cool?

+michael dev whats the reason you want to swap motor and esc. if its because the stock runs hot then i would simply add a fan to motor or gear down a tooth also cut some holes in the body for better air flow. if its because you want a better setup i would skip the ezrun, and go for the xerun instead which allows you to run sensored. the stock arma motor is a 2050kv, so if you stick to roughly that kv +-200kv your stock gearing should be fine.

xerun is it waterproofed? i want to upgrade the esc blx esc is not reliable some of those esc catching fire glitching

+michael dev no not water proof, brands like arma and traxxas advertized waterproof electronics, BUT the motor is not waterproof even though it says so, water will wash grease out of the bearings in both motor and rest of the car, leading to failure....corrodes screws...its just not worth it. i work in a hobbyshop and over the last couple of days where we have had massive rain, all i can say is its really good for business when people drive in the rain or through creeks and maybe skimming the ocean ! if your driving in snow or mud, get some womens pantyhose and pull that over the inside of the car, that will keep most of it out while allowing for air to pass through

had the truggy (D8T) which has the tacon 2200kv 12T pinion and xerun in it, and it performed great...just suck that im such a poor driver ;-) after to minutes is was warm but not hot

two smc 7200mah 2S, or two 3S, gets warm but at no time hot

What color is the light the esc bc the light on my esc is purple. And the program box just say it's connecting to esc I can't get the bot to work let me know if you think you know what it could be.

+andre knox usually red and green, theres two program boxes now....theres the old, and a new one with lipo tester built in. if your esc is a new generation you will need a new program box. the old card will say something like upgrade firmware, or connecting to esc, but nothing happens

to get adjustable BEC you need to look at the new XERUN line something like the XR8, a really awesome ESC, just remember to place switch in a secure location on you car, cause unlike the old switches where you could just solder 2 wires together for an "ALWAYS ON" mode, the new switch is controlled by a micro controller, and not user replaceable/fixable....the XR8 can supply 6 or 7.4V both at 15A !!! that is serious power and i bet you can run even the most powerhungry servos of that !

i cant tell you, BUT almost all "china" esc's communicate unencrypted, so all china prog.cards should work with all china ESC and heres another BUT esc's internal programming may vary. what i mean is that first item in one esc might be 5th item on another, look in manual so you can check it vs my card....the software on pc should come from the maker of your esc, then there should be no problems,if you use the card alone (no pc) might there be mixed up menu's. 95% of the time they are the same
