Any idea on top speed on 6s? Also, can the ride height be adjusted to avoid the scraping?

Was it me or did it look like it wanted to launch on those early straight runs? Curious if the front was scraping and breaking the down force and giving it lift... you mentioned thicker oil in the center diff is that to slow the front a little in power transfer?

i ordered the 29tooth XO-1 pinion gear too.. i think that was a mistake, if the XO-1 pinions r anything like the e-revo gears then it won't work.. i dumbed out and didn't remember until just now (been years since i even looked at an e-revo).. the e-revo pinions r 5mil but the pitch is different or something, it's been awhile.. my (older model) mamba monster X combo came with a pinion for the e-revo (actually might have been the mm2) either way I'm hoping the XO-1 is a typical mod-1.. any info?

I'm not an XO-1 expert, but it looks to use MOD1 pinions - which is standard for these size of vehicles.

i was stationed in mcas el toro back in 1997, it was my second duty station.

I've been eyeballin this car for a min (the 80% version bc i wanna put the mamba x and one of then sensored motors 2200kv maybe? would appreciate ur opinion on that?) and i think it's time i build my first real street-speed run car.. i had the hpi 1/8 ken block but got rid of it awhile ago.. me and a few of my buddies get together like once a month to drag race and we gamble on the races and shit.. I've been racing my senton and it does well with just the duratrax banditos so i would also like to kno what u think a good tire would be for this car (hyper vt)? belted maybe or just whatever u think would be good for drag racing on pavement? thx in advance Rich! oh and i did notice this car came rtr with ur color (the blue minus the siver) love it bro!

Thanks Tommy! This should the kit for you...it's def bigger than the WR8 Ken Block....The tires will need to be upgraded and def thicker fluid in the center diff. Other wise it looks solid

I've only changed diff fluids in 1/8 scale MT's, should i go that thick? i have a few bottles but they're all over 100k and that seems like it might be too thick? recommendations on tires for pavement? i was thinking about getting them belted road crushers.. oh and i did order the 80% kit last night, got a hell of a deal too! i had some e-bucks and used the $30 promo code.. do u think i could get away with using a higher kv on 6s? like 2650 (not sure if they're making that sensored yet) I'm only gonna run it in short bursts (quick straight line).. i just ordered my first set of maxapes batts too so I'm really hoping they're gonna be worth it.. thx again Rich, u have no idea how much u influence pretty much every purchase i make pertaining to this hobby! i trust and value ur opinion above ALL! have a nice day😊

The rear end of the body from the front end lifting.....it was easily fixed though

Yeah, the front end was lifting quite a bit on 6s......tuning the center diff with heavier fluid will fix that

Very nice footage, great music and such a nice weather. I like this sort of cars, but I'll buy a Mugen MGT7. Not this year but next year, GT8 electric is the most growing racing class at the moment. Maybe you can do some laps on a race track?

If the diffs are like the Hyper SS, SST and MTe there is no fluid in the diffs, just grease, so all the power bleeds into the front tires.

Oddly enough, I had my GPS out and forgot to pack it that morning.....Maybe next time I'll get the speeds.....gonna change a couple things to keep the nose down as well

jairus loo This is 100% stock. A thicker center diff fluid will fix that.
