HO Scale Layout Update 7-9-2024
This weeks update is pretty short, I've had a rough few days following a great 4th of July. I built some more benchwork, I'm nearly finished with that portion of the layout build, I think there's about 10 feet left to build then it's ripping plywood and cutting foam followed by a lot of nailing, stapling and gluing it all in place then comes the fun part, laying some mainline so i can run trains.

L&N locos have a gray scheme, but you have to paint them for a railroad close to where you are modeling.

That's why I don't buy kits any more. Ready to run costs more, but it's less aggravation.

Hey Rob, layout is looking great !! sorry too hear about Zoe. Its a horrible game to play-just remember mate, they are a part of your life-but you are all of their life !! When its gets tough,,,just go do some work on the layout,,it will help you and your thoughts. =]

What may be cool, paint one the cabs the colors you like and name it Rob&?? R&R. So then you will be an independent owner of train company. Why not.

I was so sorry to hear about Zoey. It’s hard to lose a dog because they love us unconditionally. Sorry Rob. You got a big section of the layout benchwork up by the windows, great progress. You mentioned you might sell 2, 4-6-6-4’s. Can you tell me what manufacturer, DC or DCC and how much that you want for them? The layout looks great.

Thank you. One is a BLI Clinchfield the other is an Athearn Genisis Northern Pacific Z8. $600 each.
