Might be heresy to say, but I think reviving a person or two at half HP is nowhere near as busted as Hoopa portal bringing people from base (sometimes immune still from the respawn) to where the fight is, while doing damage and stuns. Ho-oh at least can only effectively use the unite when someone dies. Hoopa can do it just for map speed.

ray battle will be huge for hooh revive, its like ther's 2 chance even u die. U must kill hooh frst somehow, but attacking defender first will be nonsense.

@@rockpirt1760it revives based on points. It consumes all the energy when it unites and depending on the amount of energy it has, it revives a number of allies. In the first time in which slowbro and tyranitar were dead, ho-oh had 0 points

2:46 Allies don't take damage from any of your attacks, and tailwind can't slow allies, only slows enemies (going opposite to the wind) and speeds up allies (going with the wind), the descriptions we saw in the earlier leaks were probably mistranslated

@@Cukufato I'm talking about one of Ho-Oh's starting moves, the one that gets upgraded to Sky Attack or Flamethrower. Initially when only the descriptions of Ho-oh's kit were leaked, people were thinking that certain moves would negatively affect allies, like Fire spin damaging allies or Tailwind slowing teammates if they went in opposite direction of the wind left by it while in its AOE. Turns out those confusions were probably just due to poor translations, and I was tryna clarify that.

I love that the fly icon looks like the Pokemon gold start screen

Something I don't see people mentioning is that it seems like in order to revive, the Ho-Oh player needs to actually collect the feather its unite creates. And since none of its moveset is unstoppable/resistant, it seems very possible to stun lock the Ho-Oh and keep it away or kill it to waste its unite. First impressions make this look actually balanced, but I'm sure some random interaction we can't see in a bot game will pop up and change that.

If they keep the damage of moves and cooldown of unite in check then i believe it would at least not be "broken". Also i kinda have a mixed feeling about its playstyle as it seemed damage reliant which tbh don't work unless they input too much damage but at the same time it doesn't have those annoying cc heavy from the looks of it which means it won't stop you from using your controller. Also since the revive seems completely random is good to see.

If the revived benefit from it, feel like buddy barrier is a must but there was some time between activation and revival. In team fights, doesn't feel like it has the tank abilities it needs for that role

I feel like the unite move is gonna depend a lot on the cooldown and how much energy you need per player revived. Hopefully the damage numbers on this thing are low because the self sustain and mobility are looking pretty good

Defender means it have the shoving ability which can defend the goal, not every tanky mons r defender

My only question is that if the player being revived gets some sort of buff, like a shield, movement speed, increase of power for a short time or unite gauge get increased by certain percentage, at Ray fights this definitely going to change the game

Revive but the moment it come back. It get gank on and might die instantly again. Unless your team help you or the ememy team didnt attack you. Or you are blasttoise and could surf away to maybe safe yourself. In another words. Its a 5 stack pokemon… not solo q. But its EX.. so they cant be used in competitive. Yet. The bullet seed thing seems normal. Unless they buff the damage alot. The dragon dance thing also seems just alright unless they buff it alot. The fly is annoying though.

Tyranitars Dark Pulse as Ho ohs Boosted auto seems Nuts. And I’m sure more surprises to Come cause I’m Only in the first minute of the video

The way the move works is so beautiful.

They could've just renamed fire spin to sacred fire. Like how for aegislash they could've had wide guard named king's shield

Notice how when Ho-Oh had 0 Aeos Energy it only revived 1 teammate to Half Health. Assuming the Aeos Energy only translates to teamates revived. If your able to either Sableye Knock Off or kill Ho-Oh or make it use its Unite in a smaller fighr before Rayquaza spawns You heavily cripple its chance to revive people

This is so much more creative than the last few legendary pokemon that have been added. I’m actually excited for Ho-Oh and it makes me wish that it wasn’t an EX so it will actually be playable.

I’d like to point out that Ho-oh had 0 aoes points when he did the first unite, so although it uses them up if he does have them, you can still revive if have none

Revive seems broken tho it seems itll only revive the first pokemon that got koed (only one thank god) and well gotta be careful cuz if you revive inside a messy fight, there is a chance the allie can still die instantly again depending on how squishy they were or how strong the enemy was. Either way itll still have one hell of a chance to turn things around if you manage to revive the carry pokemon the instant it goes down.

I think the ex mechanic is that depending on the amount of aeos coins you have, the more hp the ally revived with and since they revive with 50% hp, maybe 1%/10% per 1/10 aeos coins?

The revived teammates are brought back a 50% regardless. The amount of aeos energy spent determines how mamy teammates you get to revive.

This is going to help the good players that plays extremely well and gets a 42 timer for getting knocked out in the end game.

Honestly it doesn’t seem to be too broken from this, it’ll be good, and the unite in the ray fight is going to be awesome, but it doesn’t seem like it’ll be oppressive like a lot of the previous Pokémon have been.

At this point they should release yveltal and his untie move instantly kills a desired enemy Pokemon ( more higher aeos energy the higher bonus cooldwn they get for revive)

Man, I can’t wait for this to be another Mercy Situation from Overwatch 2 Context for some of you youngins: Before Mercy had their ultimate reworked a one revive, it originally did an AOE resurrection. This made made Mercy mains the bright idea of having their teammates die during a team fight and then yolo a kamikaze team resurrection. Take a wild guess at what happens after that Edit: after looking at the resurrection scene, it seems like it only resurrects one person and not more than one person which was what my current fear was

Actually, how many mons are revived by Ho-oh's ult depends on how much Aoes energy he had while ulting During the rotom fight where Ttar got revived, Ho-oh had 0 points so Slowbro stayed dead (Lets just hope it caps at 3 allies...)

It's almost as if Ho-Oh is itself inspired by a pheonix

It's not that broken if you consider you revive a random teammate (apparently, the more Aeos energy you have, the more people you bring back) and they come back at half HP. You can revive a squishy at half health (in the same spot they got KO'd) and still get ganged on by the entire enemy team which would make Ho-Oh's Unite useless. Or worse: bring back that one teammate that went afk after seeing we're losing Ray and griefed 🙂

How would they balance Hooh unite for tournament? I guess it will be unavailable for tournament
