Pero que tiene que ver este video con todo eso ???, el santisima trinidad era un muy buen buque pero era demasiado lento y sin acompañantes era fácil de destruir como paso en trafalgar donde quedó solo contra una gran parte de la flota inglesa.

i actually managed to capture this ship in the NTW campaign as Great Britain repaired it and used it against its former user after the repairs as Nelson's mightiest warship afloat

The thing is that the AI must be at an expected level and even so, they don't fire all their cannons, when played by a human you can get the most out of them.

It was a massive mistake to go between tehtwo British ships at the beginning. The Santissima should have turned hard to port, raked the Prince of Wales and then try to keep the Prince of Wales between the Escort and itself. The Santissima cannot fight two 1st Rate ships at teh same time. It should try to defeat them in detail.

It wouldn't have had time- A ship that size doesn't turn quickly. To pull off that kind of manuever, they would have had to clubhaul.

@@skeletongaming828 True. Actually, it seems to me that the Santissima was sailing almost directly into the wind. I don't think squarriggers should be able to make any headway so close to the wind, it appeared it was making foward motion. I would have put the Santissima on a beam reach, waiting for the ships and getting off a initial broadsidee or two. Ball shot at the riggings of the Escort, possibly followed by chain shot if it gets close enough. Then engage the Prince of Wales on a one on one duel. Hopefully, I can take out the Prince of Wales before the Escort with damaged sails can beat back to engage.

I destroyed 2 1st rate ships, 4 3st rate ships and 4 frigates just with one 1st rate ship and 3 galleon (this in the Empire Total War in max difficulty) the IA in this battle is probably in easy

Empire total war. Better late that never.

The Spaniard was a great ship. The quality of His crews was another matter. Spanish gunnery left much to be desired from most historical accounts.

After the Napoleonic wars the Spanish gave up on the whole navy thing, they then went into tourism and onion growing.

Prince of Wales was a nominal 90 gunner rebuilt in 1794 to a 98 gunner and lengthened 20' which did little for her sailing qualities. She was known as one of the slowest ships of the line in the British fleet. She was one of the last British ships into action at Trafalgar. The HMS Orion was a "common" 74 gun "two" decker, not a three decker. Again Santisima Trinidad was built as a 100 gun ship and was no larger than HMS Victory. The Spanish added a fourth deck with light guns that did little to add to her gun power. She was also a poor sailor. Spanish crews included larger numbers of untrained and undertrained landsmen and soldiers and should be penalized in their maneuverability and rate of fire versus British ships. If this is the best this game has to offer, its no better than "WoW".

This isn't really a focusing on naval combat and more of an infantry game and there is yet to be a game with accurate crew abilities so there can't be much more your looking for and even naval combat(the game) doesn't have such physics just marvelous graphics and great maneuvering physics

Santissima is an old warship back in the 1700 and hms neptune is more modern. You could say Santissima was the strongest in the old days but it had bad manuevre and terrible broadside and its just a floating wooden bathtub. The creators only thought abt the destruction its going to cause. Also, even if the santissima was going to fight any other modern warship, it would be ended in 1-2 shots since its not made of stronger material and the missiles today are much more powerful than a ball of metal.

The Santisima Trinidad was not the most dangerous ship in the 17 and 18 century. It was more used as a port defence rather than a dangerous ship that sails around destroying Navy Ships

Nice piece of computer generated gaming rubbish, NO Warship Captain, either Spanish,French or English would deliberately sail between two First Rate ships of the line as portrayed here and survive broadsides from both together. The 18th Century Royal Navy Rules of Engagement would prevent that happening, unless that Captain was prepared to stand a Courts Martial if he survived. No doubt the Spanish and French Navies had similar Rules. The French Navy during the 18th Century, due to constant British Blockades of their ports were never really able to train their gunners to the same efficiency as the British. When British and French ships did meet, it was the usual practice of the French to engage guns on one side only before tacking round to engage the other side.
