Todd... to answer your question about why places like the waterfall and waterpark are not well known... its because youtubers and instagrammers like you are just now discovering the off the beaten track places. Lonely Planet never did! You should consider yourself the writer of the new Lao guidebook. Thanks and keep up the good work!

@@khetly4266 brother we are America and we are proud call ourselves Hmong. In China at this current time and if you go there and ask for Hmong, the Chinese people don't know what that is, unless you say Meo. There are still occasional youtubes showing Thai and Laotiane people mock the Hmong people by calling them Meo. Same as in America, there are still racisim against Asian. So the word Meo still alive, especially in China.

Ya know mate, your one lucky fella, you have a lovely wife who loves you, a nice home, a great family on both sides of the pond, and you travel and live in such a beautiful country. So I ask myself, what more can a man really ask for in life? Material stuff is just that, you can't take it with you when the father call for ya, now can ya. But you can have all these wonderful memories of some of the most beautiful places, plus share it with your lovely wife mate. I miss things like this but the wife got lazy and well, just nothing to do unless you drive all day and pay $160 US for a room unless you go camping in a tent, they charge you around $35 a night and you can't have a campfire and you still got to do your thing in the bush. This is why I want to just go to a country that it won't cost as much, if I can trade my wife in for a new model haha, Just a spot of humor Todd. Loved the video and everything was cool and I really dug that waterfall hidden way back in the rocks and trees. Peace to you and Neenee Todd, enjoy the trip, I know I am👍🏻✌🏻🌞
