    This portrayal of the tyranids is actually smarter and makes more sense than the modern iteration where they completely strip a planet of everything, essentially, all that means is that they would be accelerating the entropy of the universe. If they actually want to be able to keep going around and harvesting, then they would want to make sure that stuff can grow again.

    honestly it's more so he wasn't surrounded by friends that could kill the marines before the marines killed him, so he decided to bow out, not a stretch in lore or logic that you can that away rather than just outright 'unarmed' tyranid.

    Thanks buddy! I damn LOVE 90s Warhammer. I remember playing "The Doom Of The Eldar" at a friends house as a tyke, and being totally obsessed with the cover art.     It's interesting how lictors in this book are used for intelligence gathering and it makes sense how they snagged people on the start of the nids invasion. Many of those captured probably useless but had they got the apothecary they would have gained a lot of insight.

    I’m not spiritual either, but 40k spiritual and religious stories are often better than about normal none 40k religious stories. Maybe because the author has free hands to do what they think is best, a practiced religion might get you trouble for blasphemy 😮

    Why would it? Bolters shouldn’t really have recoil at all they fire mini rockets. But mainly this was written in late 90s the lore wasn’t as fixed as that. Also plenty of humans have bolters

    Kinda thought this story is probably not entirely canon when the Admech geneticist probed hivemind and pretty much got huge answer for many questions regarding Tyranids. Some stuff works best when mysterious, vague and not entirely understood - like that alien pilot from original Alien movie, that ended up being retconned into space suid for handsome Squidward. I think answer where Tyranids come from, what is their overall goal would kinda ruin them as this force of nature coming from outside of the galaxt. Anyway, awesome story, awesome narration as always!

    Quite good story, I enjoyed the Eye of Terror as well. On another topic, I have been failing to purchase Aaron Bembski Bowden's Black Legion series books, even when I found them through a amazon listing of another seller the package that came in was empty, which made me quite upset. Does can anyone help with finding the Talon of Horus and the Black Legion books for purchase in Europe?
