Thank You for mentioning Stu Allen. I saw him in Minneapolis from 1999-2002 while he was in an awesome Grateful Dead cover band called the Jones Gang. He had talent that stood out far above the rest of his band mates. And I was glad to see he was accepted by the Berkeley School of Music. I hear he is now in Berkeley,CA.

This eases the pain of the Ticket Master fiasco yesterday slightly. I'm sorry to all that, like us, couldn't get tix despite being on the site at 11AM EST sharp and clicking right away. My buddy had the best line of all about the whole thing. We're all disappointed and texting back and forth after getting nowhere in the Ticket Master queues time and again until we finally give up. His text: "Screw it...they suck anyways." Ha.

Touché...putting humor to the reality that Trey was a terrible choice and the cost prohibitive impossibility for so many due to there only being three shows...which I seriously doubt. I'll just stay here in SF until they decide to play some shows in their backyard...maybe with a superior guitarist and a good singer!

i thought trey was okay on some things but he really does not have much blues in him..Part of what made Jerry great was that he could get really out there in the jazz like licks but also had great blues type feeling when it was called for...Jeff Beck would have been better...
