Hello Stimpy404, how are You doing Man...? Yeah. To answer your question, as far as I can understand both of the guys wanted first billing, they wanted their names first, Newman and Biddiel, Biddiel and Newman, Rob Newman wanted his name first because he believed he was the intellectual comedian behind the pair. He was the driving force, As the rift deepend between the 2 this sketch became more and more cruel until they were just ripping the piss out of each other. They wrote their own lines..

Quality. As funny as this style of comedy gets. I love this creation; they're bloody brilliant, and never dropped in standard, they knew when enough was enough, and the same sense of economy of wit, sharpened but in a knowingly childish way, kept them fucking awesome in the early 90's. I'd love to see them reform for writing new material. Like Zep at the o2 for me that is. ;)

No that's Vic Reeves. There's plenty of evidence, Newman was capable of subtlely nuanced impersonations like his art-teacher guy. You sound like you're not really familiar with his material. You are right about Baddiel though, having some witty and clever moments. They certainly were moments. Maybe one an hour. Baddiel was never funny, just a twat with a wobbly voice like Ian Hislop. Bet you think he's great too.

At 4.08 you witness the creation of Dubstep.
Ha - me and Trussy: spot on mate.
Ah, the best one they ever did. "You know men who put fruit up each other's bottoms?"
See that History Today? I am aware of it. That's funny, that is. That is like bloody hilarious.
My friend Greg and I loved these guys so much we paid homage by performing our own version infront of our classmates and teacher. Amazing shit.
My history teacher showed us this to aid us in our Early Spain coursework...

lol if only. We laughed just discussing it at school the next day! That must have been at least 15 years ago, I can't believe it's still so funny!

@KiruBanzai He's also a writer (not a bad one) and a patron of a charity that fights against the stigma of mental health amongst men.
Here's a later piece - enjoy!
They wrote their own lines and I think You can see this in the sketches...Presumably they stayed together because one the contracts they had to fullfil...I think the rift is mentioned on Analysis on History Today...
You're right, I think there was only one TV series of Mary Whitehouse.
Nice! New vocals to steal!
See that History Today video uploaded in about 2006? The one with about 3 pixels? That's your hi definition TV that is. That's your 4k screen that you show off to your friends.
4.13 "Joey" face
I love this vid.
Absolutely hilarious! ...can't they get back together to make a Christmas special or something?

Hello Stimpy404, how are You doing Man...? Yeah. To answer your question, as far as I can understand both of the guys wanted first billing, they wanted their names first, Newman and Biddiel, Biddiel and Newman, Rob Newman wanted his name first because he believed he was the intellectual comedian behind the pair. He was the driving force, As the rift deepend between the 2 this sketch became more and more cruel until they were just ripping the piss out of each other. They wrote their own lines..
See that pile of cack over there? That's your favourite dinner that is!!
Hello Alex!
This upload is as old as KZread itself
Nah, this is from Newman and Baddiel in Pieces, episode 1. So it isn't the first History Today (which was from The Mary Whitehouse Experience)
Please help...bet riding on this! who did prehistoric blob of Jiff? was it History Today or was it Alas Smith and Jones?
This is from the second series of The Mary Whitehouse Experience. FYI. Your Mum.

"You that knob whose humour never stood up on its own and needed a funnier sidekick next to him at all times or he'd cry for his mummy live onTV? That's you, that is." A good History Today sketch though!
comedy at its very best :). lol
see that m karn that's you that is
Jordan Peterson vs. Sam Harris that is
you see the collapse of the stock market and greed of the bankers? thats you, that is
They used to crack up all the time. They'd often manage to cover it up, but once or twice you can see them struggling to keep a straight face.
Holy shit this upload's ten years old. I feel accordingly ancient now.
Like Zep at the o2 for me that is. ;)
small nitpick - something in my head says this wasn't the first of the sketches. But still devastatingly hilarious, I feel.
@Pamultimate Bit cerebral for you?
what's to dislike? pratts
Trump v Biden?
He's a hippie now. Shows powered by bicycle generator and that. Do a search for History Of Oil if you'd like to see. Better than David Baddiel, at any rate.
Some wet blanket has blocked this from being shared. Get a sense of humour or go and look at something else. how sad.
Amazing that these two stopped working together...neither has done anything half as funny since.
