Minute 2:26 - The person depicted in the picture is Wang Maozhai, it is not Quan You and it is not Wu Jianquan. Interesting, because the script is saying: ""my great grandfather Quan You was the one that founded the style. The one that fixed completely the formation of Wu Style Taijiquan was my (maternal) grandfather, Wu Jianquan"". During that last sentence is when we can see the picture of Wang Maozhai. It does appear prior to the picture of Wu Jianquan - but with no mention (either written or spoken) of Wang Maozhai in the translated script. It is an interestingly "lucky" unconscious slip since it is true that the development of Wu TJQ in Beijing -after the passing of Quan You (1834-1902) was carry out by the two Kungfu brothers Wang Maozhai (1862-1940) and Wu jianquan (1870-1942). Wang Maozhai was the beloved disciple Of Master Quan You -and a Senior- to Wu Jianquan who was a beloved son and therefore the bloodline disciple and inheritor of Quan you. The appearance of Master Wang Maozhai's picture in the video -even though his name is not mentioned or acknowledged in the video - brings this video closer to the true History of Wu Taijiquan during its development in Beijing after Quan You's death in 1902. In 1928, Wu Jianquan moved to Shanghai in southern China while Wang Maozhai remained in Beijing. These two great Taiji Quan masters came to be known respectively as Nan Wu Bei Wang (南吴北王) - South Wu and North Wang. This Wu style was differentiated into two main groups, one in Beijing and one in Shanghai. Later Wu Jianquan’s son, WuGongyi (吴公仪), organized a third group in Hong Kong. Today therefore, there are three distinct groups of Wu style practitioners. To speak of the Historyof Wu TJQ in a manner that makes it look like only the Ma Branch exists is an unnecessary negation. First, because no one will ever deny the high level of skill reached by the Ma Family; and secondly because "the genie is already out of the bottle. The TJQ community already knows that there exist 3 distinctive Groups: Shanghai (Ma Family); Beijing (Wang Peisheng) and Hong Kong (Wu Gongyi and now Wu Guang Yu). Shanghai (Familia Ma); Beijing (Wang Peisheng) y Hong Kong ( Wu Gongyi y ahora Wu Guang Yu). Puedes leer más sobre estos linajes en ycgf.org/Masters_in_YCGF/TJ_WangMaoZhai.html
