IM IRANIAN_KURDISH ,I FEEL SO PROUD ABOUT YEZIDI RELIGION ITS OLDER THAN ZOROASTRIAN AND JUDAISM

Breaks my heart that they say He is "an unknowable God". I had no idea of these people but can tell their hearts are in the right place and they have my prayers! It is interesting how I came to find out about them. We were in a thrift store and a bookmarker with a peacock on top just caught the attention of my husband and I. I have NO idea why but we had to have it. Later we were looking up if there was anything unique about it and came across the Yezidi people. Goodness.....God must REALLY want us to lift them up and help them.

Yezidis are not Kurds. Kurds are former Yezidis who converted to Islam by force (Daesh also forces Yezidis to convert or to die). We clearly see a phenomenon of Kurdification by the kurdish government. They try to kurdifiy every minority of the country (Assyrians, chabaks, yezidis, etc). To make it simple : Kurds are (mostly) muslims whereas Yezidis have their own religion (Sharfadin); STOP ASSIMILATING YAZIDIS ...

Varuna, the lord of justice,and celestial water body, is said to be watching humans with thousand eyes. Reincarnation is not mentioned in the first 2000 years or so of Hindu texts. Yezidi faith has roots extending from Syria to Turkey going back within a couple centuries of the Great flood of 7250 B.C.E. that created the Black Sea.

2 different spellings i notice in many sources , yezidi and yazidi. i use the E version , but i wonder why are there 2 versions. was it theyre oral tradions that made the spelling unknown. just curious. But peace be with these gentle people of nature where the creator is communed with.

The real Name is ezidi. It comes from ezda. Ezda means the one who born/made me. Ezda is one of the 3003 names for God in the ezidi religion. Ezda means God.

Ezidism is the first religion who recognize God. 2- Ezidis are NOT Kurd. Kurd appeared after Islamic invasions on Mesopotamia, word Kurd refer to those who became away from their origin so the current Kurd are the Ezidi who were forced to convert Islam, the current Ezidis can NOT be Kurd simply because they have not been away from who they are never changed anything about their culture. To Ezidis being Kurd means being Muslim because this how the term Kurd appeared. If you ask what is the nationality of Ezidis!! first thing you need to know is that Ezidi is NOT an Abrahamic religion and only Abrahamic religions has nationalism. As for the inter dental /Tt/, non-native speakers would replace it either by /t/ or /d/. Could the two names have stemmed from the same source? If so, who got it first, the Greeks or the Zoroastrians?

Yazidis are from Yadu dynasty who migrated to Iraq and Iran after the war of Yadav's... They mainly belong to krishna's son Samba ruling region who was the worshiper of sun and made sun temple 5000BC in multan which is in Pakistan... Yazidis are Yaduvanshi Hindu of India who migrated before 5000 years ago... Aryans never came to India but they migrated to everywhere from India after war of mahabharat which was the great war than any world war... There are so many similarities between yazidis and Hindu religion..

Very great question! The Yazidi means ; National and religion of the Yazidi The Kurd; the Kurds were Yazidis in the early days of the history. However, as the results of Genocides such as Islam converted their religion by either killing or convering the religion and unfortunately because the Yazidi not admire the war and killing majority of them converted their religion just to survive. And other either killed themselves, killed by Islam or immigrated ( during immigration some of them killed, some gone to Russia, Armenia, Germany...etc. The Yazidis were living in India, Iran, Iraq...etc. I ment the Kurds are Yazidis but now they in the Islam religion

Jaefar SABNW Can you provide some links where Yazidis say that they worship Iblis or even some muslim academic sources where they recognize Yazidis as devil worship ? If you are uneducated and can not use your brain, sit quiet and don't show every one who you are. Yazidi never kill people for religion . We respect every religion and each person as creatures of God.

Konstantine Muradov Islam has never been a part of killing people for mere disbelief or blasphemy. Just because you don't call the jinn/Daevas/fire beings/hidden beings/faery/asura/oadriax demons, it doesn't mean they are not like the humans in having devils among them. Islam doesn't believe in the Christian idea of a devil as a god of evil either. I was not saying that you are the same type of satanist as we have in the West either. You seem to have some sound moral principles and it all counts.
