History of The Saints - Pioneer Children’s Memorial

Thousands of pioneer children walked, rode and camped their way through more than 1,300-miles of trail from Council Bluffs, Iowa to the Land of Zion in Utah. It was an adventure for most, and they made it to Utah no worse for the wear. Tragically, however, 684 Children died on the trail. Glenn Rawson explores the journey and sacrifice of these children and showcases the new memorial set up at This is The Place State Park in Utah that honors those early pioneers and the children who lost their life.

this is a sweet memorial to the children, and parents that paid the price for their conviction to God they loved. May this memorial remind us of their price, May we all be free and love God in their own way.

Very touching. My Great Great Grandmother Amy Kirby Orme, Great Grandfather Samuel Washington Orme (was a Captain of Ten) and two Great Aunts Sarah Ann Orme and Rebecca Orme were in the Martin Handcart Company. They were all blessed to have survived. I and my family and extended family hiked Martin's Cove on two occasions. Touched forever.

Why dont you do any editorials on other religions? You must be a biased news outlet.

Nicholas Varley I bet that most editorials in Pakistan are about Islam. Probably most in Tokyo are about Shinto, New Delhi might be Hindu, Rome would cater to Catholism. In Salt Lake City considering the founding fathers, you would think that most editorials would focus on Latter Day Saints. Not biased just logical.
