History of the Jollof empire 🇸🇳 | every year
The Jollof empire was an empire located in the modern day Senegal. The name comes from the Wolof people, that are living there.
This empire isn't famous for its conquests but for its trade, influence and of course money. They was on of the first black-african countries to meet the western europeans (In this case it was Portugal). The empire didn't lost for a centuries but it is still was a great country that influenced the whole region and marked the beginning of the Atlantic Triangle (Slave trade).

Sorry, I made a mistake. Sare N'Dyaye ruled in 1370-1390, not in the 1380-1390. It was very difficult to find any information about this country, so I will be glad if you find errors and correct me ❤

Thanks! I find history of such unknown countries far more interesting because of how little is written about them. Everyone knows Roman empire but Jollof? Nah...
