Alania, Ossetia, and the Jasz are distinct ethnic and cultural entities with unique histories and geographical locations.
Alania, historically known as Alans, were an ancient Iranian-speaking people who inhabited the region of Alania, located in the North Caucasus, between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea. The Alans played a significant role in the Eurasian steppe and had interactions with various civilizations, including the Byzantine Empire. Over time, they were assimilated into other neighboring groups, such as the Ossetians.
Ossetia, also known as the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, is a modern-day region situated in the South Caucasus, between Russia and Georgia. The Ossetians are the descendants of the Alans and have their unique language, Ossetian, which belongs to the Iranian language group. North Ossetia is part of the Russian Federation, while South Ossetia is a disputed territory recognized as an independent state by a few countries.
The Jasz, also spelled Jász, are a Hungarian ethnic group with a distinctive culture and language known as Jász. Historically, the Jasz people lived in the Carpathian Basin and were associated with the Jazygians, an ancient Iranian-speaking people. Today, the Jasz are integrated into Hungarian society, and the Jász language has largely disappeared.
These three entities, Alania, Ossetia, and the Jasz, each represent unique cultural threads in the complex tapestry of Eurasian history, showcasing the diversity of languages, traditions, and histories in the region. While Alania and Ossetia share historical connections, the Jasz are a separate ethnic group with their distinct cultural identity within Hungary.

Ah, they have already invented some "Georgian" Allaniа, which never existed! According to Giosaphat Barbaro(XV cent.), the Allans lived in the Lower Don steppes right until the Mongol invasion, and the last Allan king Indiabu buried his treasures in the Lower Don steppes, not in the Caucasus. The Ossetians are not those Allans migrated southward. They are 100% local aborigines who lived in the gorges of the Central Caucasus since the Neolithic times and spoke local non-IndoEuropean languages until the Iranification process began. According to the information of the Georgian historian Vakhushti Bagrationi (Vakhushti of Kartli, XVIII century A.D.), the last Allans of Caucasus were known in the Western Caucasus between Megrelia and Svanetia unlike the Ossetians well known in the Central Caucasus. The modern Allans are the following: the Jasz in Hungary, an Allan tribe in the Iranish Kurdistan, another Allan tribe in the Zazaki tribal union in Turkey, the Ollam-Urgenchli people in Turkmenia.
