History of Pride Since The 1800s

We explain the history of the LGBT movement in America since the 1800s.
In collaboration with AARP, we present "A LivingHistory of the LGBT Movement" powered by AARP - a storytelling series honoring past, present and future heroes of the LGBT movement. We know that the history of the LGBT movement is still being written. By understanding our history, we can create a better future for everyone, especially for our aging LGBT older adults. The LGBT community has been changing for the last years because of social movements. Firstly of all on the 80´s some people have become a little open mind talking about that on that time, but know mostly of the people are watching this so normal that i think that social movements and the people that are talking and saying what they think or feel are moving someone else's mind. Moreover having a change to get married and having kids is more than a person of the 80´s will imagine, because nowadays in various countries it can be legal now. Therefore we can say that just talking and not being afraid to say who you are or what you are it can change the world, because saying who you are and if you feel good with that it is normal.

it makes me very sad that in many parts of the world lgbtq+ can't even try to demand their rights. i'm happy for american gays and others in countries where progress for a happy future for all have already happened, but i can't help but also be jealous. i'm just watching my "rights" (because they are basically non existent) being taken away, little by little. and we can't do anything because other than us, no one cares enough. and unfortunately, our voice is getting ignored. i hope at least when i'm older, i can experience freedom in the country where i was born, which preaches about not leaving anyone behind, but only if you're a christian cishet.

As a straight person, I had learned pretty much over the years about the very meaning of what being an LGBTQ+ person as well as the vast community that has been fighting for a rightful place in society with all its power and might. I fully support that community in the name of solidarity! So I say: Keep up the struggle until the everlasting victory for all! Besides, those who are the enemies of the LGBTQ+ community all over the world WILL NEVER WIN, and those who are the allies of that community, will forever be the backbone that will definitely secure such a victory because it is BOTH RIGHT AND JUST!

Besides, what you really need to get is the RIGHT KIND of information from various LGBTQ community centers about this "issue" that you have been misled to believe in. Ask ANY question that concerns you without generating outrage in the end, because after all, only rational dialogue between people like yourself and any representative of the LGBTQ community in your town would certainly help.

Most people understand, and accept, that gay people claim they were born that way, and are surprised, at a certain age, to discover their homosexual arousal. But, this does not mean, that humans cannot be trained to grow up homosexual. You can take any child, male or female, and train them to grow up anyway you like. To be expert piano players, golfers, musicians, or homosexual. It is all a matter of training, at an early enough stage of development. Any Behavioral Scientist can attest to this fact. We are intensely social creatures, our survival depends largely upon social integration. The ability to be trained in certain cultural ways, is an important survival mechanism. In fact, Many LEFTIST political activists, firmly believe it is important to train boys to experiment with homosexual activity, because they are convinced, that this is the best way to combat what they call: "Toxic Masculinity". They believe this process will result in a more peace loving world.

A neighbor showed me an October 4, 2016, "Dioxins and their Effect on Human Health," by the World Health Organization (WHO) about dioxins, which explains: "Long-term exposure [to dioxins] is linked to impairment of the immune system, the developing nervous system, the endocrine system and reproductive functions." (Brackets, mine) Dioxins are, as also explained, extremely toxic byproducts of our science and technology. As we've seen in many a documentary about the extensive pollution done to Earth's environment by major chemical giants---such as Dow, 3M, DuPont, and Monsanto---this and numerous other toxins, whose toxic effects have been long kept secret by the same because they value profit over safety, have been distributed throughout the global environment. If this is the case, it's become very concerning to those wishing to protect the natural order which has made it possible for us to exist, that very possibly the various sexual identities and practices seen primarily since the turn of the 20th Century is the result of dioxins and other so-called "Forever Chemicals" produced by Big Chemistry. In other words, some are wondering if the LGBTQIA movement is a result of such toxic contamination. If this is true, could this be the real underlying cause of, say, gender dysphoria? If, indeed, profit-loving Big Chem has damaged the human reproductive system, we need to ask, "Should we celebrate? Or should we sue?" Literally billions could be awarded from a worldwide class action lawsuit.

If you believe that God is the purist of perfect, flawless, and omnipotent. That the almighty, doesn't make mistakes. That his reasoning, and all creation. In and of itself is without questioning??? THEN WHY DO YOU BELIEVE THAT ANY SUBSET IN HUMANS ARE A MISTAKE??? Not too far back, in our near past. Black americans were enslaved like animals. Because people like you quoted parable biblical numbers without ever quoting scripture. Women remained property of men. Like second class citizens. Because people like misquoted the biblical facts. Just to be clear. It's your interpretation that "evil" is "homosexuality." But if we're all made in his image. Then God, Jesus, and the holy have a little homosexuality in them.

Well i mean in the past homophobia was so much and if they found out that you're querr life doesn't look the same, people are very likely not to treat you like a human being (this includes psychological/emotional/verbal/physical violence), so it doesn't look very good from this point of view.

Yes those people are homophobic, No one chooses their sexual orientation, beign a querr don't look at your religion/race or anything, there's no cure it isn't a disease/choice/psychological disorder people are born like that seriously people who thinks like that shouldn't marry and have kids but here we are plus they're just ungrateful for their religions creators

Wanting to take away people's ability to live their lives *is* homophobic. And what if there are kids - even yours - who *know* that they're that way? Shouldn't they have trusted figures who can help them on their journey of self-discovery? Shouldn't every child feel validated and included? Nobody's trying to push your kids to go that way if they're not, but if they are by chance, then at least they would know they're not alone. Isn't that better than having them unhappy and feeling isolated?
