I remember that Lilly pond & watching Lilly's being picked in the same manner that was shown in the photo in the late 80's whilst at Pakenham High.

I moved to Pakenham in 1998, and I remember getting lost trying to find my way through to Bayles because I couldn’t find the Main Street :) I just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing the history of what was once, I’m sorry to say, an absolutely amazing country town!! Don’t get me wrong, I love living in Pakenham it’s still beautiful but so built up that yes I completely agree that once target and Coles came along that was the end of the small country town it was. :( I’ve loved learning about the history for the last hour and surprisingly my husband sat and watched the entire slideshow too! You did an amazing job presenting this.. we learnt so much! and we both look forward to visiting the museum once Covid is sorted ..
