TravellingStoryteller Well I actually enjoy John Stewart, in some ways even more than Hal Jordan. I'm glad they gave John serious screen time in JLU and DCAU. Of course Hal Jordan is always great too. They're both the only GL's that I really care for.

Yeah, he's alright. I grew up with Hal so he's 'my Green Lantern' but I don't have anything against the others. I DO think they need to start with Hal but that doesn't preclude him being captured by the back guy and having John show up to help the League save him. Could be fun. :)

Wood was always the Weekness against Alan Scott's Green Lantern Ring while Yellow was always the only color that Hal Jordan's Green Lantern ring didn't work on and so in an Issue with both The Earth-1 and Earth-2 Green Lantern in aiming their rings rays head to head it was a combination that destroyed the yellow wood.

Geoff Johns is one of my favorite writers!

In the Golden Age, Green Lantern did not have a weakness to wood in and of itself. Instead his ring protected him from all metals, so bullets, knives, lead pipes, etc. could not harm him. The ring offered no protection from organic objects so a blow from a wooden club or a fist could knock him out. He was a pretty good fighter however, so it was not an easy thing to do.

I did have a video suggestion and its something I have been interested in learning more about. Do you think you can do a video on the history and evolution of comic book art? It seems the art of past seems to pale in comparison to sheer detail of today's comics, yet I don't believe that comic book artists in general have gotten better. Why the change, and at what point in comic book history did we see the biggest change in the art? I would love to watch a video on this subject.

History of Ms. Marvel or Wonder women

I'm a long time fan (I started reading them in 1970!!!!) of the Legion of Superheroes. You should do a history (as long and convoluted as that would be...) of them. BTW: This video was my first encounter with your KZread site.... loved what you did so much that I subscribed on the spot.

I kinda wish he had mentioned the blackest night. That was a great read.

I love DC but some of the things they have done with the new 52 don't sit well with me. Why did they make Allen Scott gay? Jade is his daughter for crying out loud! I'm not against a gay hero at all but make a new hero where they are gay from the start. Don't change a legends sexual choice because DC as a company feels guilty for not having a gay hero til now.

rikioize yeah but still. make a new hero. hell make a group of them of every race on the planet to cover ur bases. make half the group gay guys with the other half lezzies but just make new gay ones! don't pick one thats been around since the 1940's that has had a love life a child just to be pc and new age. i think a couple years from now they will look back on it as a bad idea. its what they did with black lightning in the 70's. "hell he don't have any black heros! make one up now and use the word black in his name so they know hes black for sure!" i love black lightning but put some more thought into his name. thank god they got a lil smarter by the time they wrote john stewart. "The Black Green Lantern" would have been a bad title.
