Stanley broke 8 5BLD WRs and is WR holder for 1516 days.
Chris broke 6 5BLD WRs and was WR holder for 1589 days.
Roman broke 6 5BLD WRs and was WR holder for 563 days.
Marcell broke 5 5BLD WRs and was WR holder for 819 days.
Kaijun broke 5 5BLD WRs and was WR holder for 501 days.

I had no clue about the history of this event. Imo one of the most difficult and frustrating yet immensely satisfying (when you get a success)

Yes correct. This event is super tricky as success does not come at will.

First unofficial success was in the year 2002.
Stanley is probably gonna keep his dominance for a lot longer despite not practicing and improving his times

I am not sure about that. Hill pong is making inroads. I am also wanting to get sub-2 in 5BLD for long time now.

Ville had WB in 5BLD in 2009 with 7 minute solve. I am also doing a compilation of WBs (unofficial solves).
2 and a half hours to 2 and a half minutes

My first 5bld att was a DNF by 8 wings, 4 edges, no + centers, 6 x centers, and 2 corners

it seems strange that the 2017 5bld wr was 3:47.5 and the 2018 3x3 wr was 3.475 both by chinese guys

graham siggins has done a few and so have i think roman strakhov and stanley chapel but i could be wrong

Scalpel has only done 2-5 BLD relay and not 2-7. Nevins chan has tried 2-7 relay a decade back.
