Historical Romance lends itself well to the fantastical and I think that's why I love it so much.

I love his name! It's too cute. It's a beautiful step back. Looking at it, the heroine does seem little reserved towards the hero. Other than that, it's still a great picture. Stepback= GORGEOUSNESS!!!!! I LOVE his mullet!!!!!!! The flowers too!!!! So gorgeous!!!! The red dress really looks good on her with that midnight black hair of hers!!!! She almost looks pregnant, and that he’s wrapping his hands around her belly, so he can feel the baby move!!! I love it!!! 💯!!

Could the charms in the chain be religious or family crest? I think she is sternly defending the child he comes to claim. It's hard for her to stay on track with that come hither gaze from him. A picture popped up when I opened my Kindle. It's not a step back but oh what a picture. Book 1 Though A Dark Mist by Marsh Canham. It's a newer cover her in a blue dress holding on to him!
