New Mexico is on the list for most dangerous state I would never live there or even visit.

1:06:18 Yes sir, the house has been & still is occupied by two special friends who raised their family there. The town was not always what you see Back in the 1970s you really would have enjoyed the area & the people Now it's mostly transplants that turned it into a tourist trap of extremely expensive ____( fill in the blank 😂) Safe Travels Sir!!

@Dee-wd8li what. I guess it's what you are used to to me and I have been there once it is beautiful nice and peaceful. Like anywhere else stay away from bad places and mostly big towns
I’m born and raised in Mississippi, but I love New Mexico so much. I go there every chance I get. I’m just drawn to it for some reason.
HEY,HEY CHECK IT OUT, NEW MEXICO, YAY, Thanks, RVerTV Russ 👍
I finally got to visit and drive through New Mexico last year on my way home to Ohio from California. I LOVED it and can’t wait to visit again!
The lava bed and ice cave you mentioned were mentioned in a book or two by Louis L'Amour.
We've been watching these great videos, subscribed to your channel. My family settled in an old town called French, NM, a ghost town now. Eventually, going to Springer and Albuquerque. I have old photos of my grandparents and their families traveling all over in the 1920's. One year, we traveled to the same places they traveled and made photos of the places they were at. Time traveling. A lot had not changed, but some things totally changed. Great memories. We used to go to Eagles Nest before the state took it over. Excellent drive. ❤NM!!

Oh he came across the tourquoise spot.
New Mexico is my favorite all time state. So many great things to see and visit. Chaco Canyon is very interesting. Madrid is a cool little town where Wild Hogs was filmed. Been camping there since 1978. Love Rancheros outside Santa Fe. Very pricy homes. Lots of history. Riding motorcycles up the Sandia mtns was great, Beautiful. Galleries are the best in Santa Fe. Best art in the US
Me? I love, love, LOVE realizing the details and places I can plan to visit - and even on re-mix, I always catch new that I missed before. I was not a small-town museum-goer before finding your channel, Russ. Now? I realize these (and the local coffee shops) are the 💚 of these quickly-disappearing gems of small-town America. I slow down and chat, investigate. It's THE PEOPLE that give the trip the biggest smiles. Always. Cannot thank you enough, Russ!
I really like your video. Very laid back & positive, and you show a lot of neat stuff. Thanks.
Love new Mexico, thank you for the trip💕☀️✌️
3.5 hrs! Wow. This must have took a while to upload from Quartzsite. Lol
Madrid was a Company Town that mined coal for the near by rail road before trains quit using coal . Madrid was the town that Wild Hogs was filmed in. Dennis Hopper is buried in Taos NM.
Wow!! Very beautiful, atmospheric and breathtaking journey.☀️👌👌💯
Oh, my good grief. I've gotta go back to New Mexico to check out more of your discoveries, Russ! Wow. How interesting, ALL of this video. Thank you!
Russ, thanks for showing the road maps, I like that. Good health.
Hope one day see Taos, love santa fe , ghost ranch and Georgia O'Keefe studio. You rock Russ it's always an event not to be missed when you're on the road. Can't forget hatch and pie town.
I can't believe I stayed watching all 3 1/2 hours through the whole thing. I live in NM and am familiar with most every place. I worked all around these places. At one time or another. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Going to have to watch again, great for a long relaxing day. Love new Mexico more than before, I always asked frank let's move here Never did, this movie is that reason why. When I'm a spirit again, I have so much to see for eternity.
The origami are cool, it is the art of folding paper, and those statues made of aluminum is almost unbelievable!!! Thanks for your hard work!!
I luv it when they have parades that are children appropriate
A real treat for a wintry/blustery day here on the central pacific coast. The wind gusts just about knocked me off my feet a few minutes ago walking the dog. Rained all night and more is coming. Wind and soggy ground = bad things around here. So seeing the American southwest on your travels warms me up through the laptop screen right now. Not sure how it works but it does. Cheers and thanks again! 👍

I like to watch on TV, really feels real.
My husband and I traveled these roads alot, he was over the road driver. Miss him, but he's traveling the road on TV with me now. Love your descriptions and stops, we never got to stop always a load to deliver.
Wow! I was just sitting around the house and thinking... I have about 3 1/2 hours hours on my hands and I want to watch something. I briefly considered watching the epic movie Exodus, but stumbled across the latest RVerTV Once in a Lifetime New Mexico 6 day road trip! I'll take Russ over reruns every time! Keep up the good work buddy! We love you!❤
Awesome! Thanks Russ!
Hey Russ, hope you're doing well. It's a rainy Sunday afternoon here, so it's nice to spend some time with you in sunny New Mexico. So many things to see! The Mining Museum in Grants has an elevator that takes you down to an underground exhibit--definitely worth a visit. In Madrid you missed one of the coolest spots: Connie's Photo Park that has a bunch of "stick your head in" photo stand-ins that are great for some really fun photo opportunities. At 2:34:47 -- I drove that stretch of Hwy 64 a couple of years ago, I remember seeing all kinds of prairie dogs laying out in the middle of the road--trying to get warm I guess. These long form "once in a lifetime" episodes are really great. Keep 'em coming!
🕊Traveling with RVerTV 🏜 🚐 Thank you!🌹 Russ💞
New Mexico is a great place to visit and live. I found the people unusually open, friendly, and like myself very talkative. Much love from Chicago.
I really enjoyed the ride specially with the back camera that captured all the beautiful scenery thanks for sharing 👏👏👏and I also enjoyed the ice cave beautiful God blessed you’ll in the road 🙏🙏
Everyone loves a parade. Mardi Gras in Mobile Alabama great parades all the high school bands marching. I can hear them now ❤
Nice clear Camera or maybe just that crisp & clear New Mexico air. I fly fished that creek @2:50 about 40 years ago when my daughters were 1 & 3 years old & we were traveling the great southwest my old 1946 chevy 1.5ton a stateside ww2 Veteran with home built sheepherder style camper & camp trailer, We broke down in Taos near the town center, i had to do a basic roadside engine overhaul, refresh and refit, The people of Taos were very friendly & hospitible, Nobody told me i had to move the truck, tow it away or work on it elsewhere, A man & wife had a Burrito/taco truck on the hwy @ southern entrance of Taos and would bring me a burrito and large coffee every morning for the whole week & a half i was in Taos working on the Truck. Eagles Nest, Red River, Taos and even Santa Fe were quite a bit slower and sleepier back then, decades before the KZread generation started filling the back roads of America. The only thing really missing in these videos is rubbing elbows and talking with the local folk, i notice most KZreadrs seem to want the places they visit all to themselves & seldom talk with the people along the way, which for me personally would be one of the a main features of my travels if i was a KZreadr.
How beautiful. Recall being in love & traveling thru this enchanted land. Oh, thank you for this.
I went to Madrid on vacation, the movie Wild Hogs was filmed there, you know John Travolta,Tim Allen...
Thank you for this. My mind is blown! I kept wondering why it was called ice cave when it was hot outside. I never seen lava rocks like that either. It is really too cool for school!😊
It amazes me HOW MUCH TIME, EFFORT and RESOURCE$ it takes for an epic trip like this - much less FILMING IT FOR US. Dang! It also amazes me how some people spew rude or negative comments without 'hearing' themselves, or even caring.
So glad you chose to do NM. I am 80 and lived in NM since I was 15. Thank you for touring me where I can’t go anymore! 💕❤️💕
Mid June 2017 we spent 3 days in the Taos area in our 2014 drop top camaro which gives a really good feel of the landscape on the enchanted circle drive. Took 64 out of Taos on our way back to Mo. and caught a huge hot air balloon launch as we dropped down into Eagles Nest. Had to stop and get some good pics of that.
I am revisiting your videos after having a cataract procedure done yesterday and realising how much I have been missing.
Oh how I miss my little cabin that was East of the mountains of Santa Fe.? It burned to the ground in a forest fire. These are places we should to tour. Madrid has really changed, it used to be a junkie little place but I know it has become very popular and a lot added! Hoping to rebuild in the cool mountains of NM. I wonder if the house with the glass bottle fence is still there?! Thanks for taking us on your trip!!
Great videos!!! My husband and I have been watching your videos for about a year and we have really been enjoying them. Thank you very very much.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤❤
Love the ice cave and the pottery 👍. Beautiful views 👍

I could never drive this distance. Thank you for traveling and sharing. Your adventure. ❤❤❤😊
Oh my gosh I can't believe 3 weeks ago it was almost 90°. I'm wanting to take the grandkids that way soon. It is most certainly a beautiful drive I have made it many times coming back into Farmington.
Thank you for the beautiful journey !!😊
Watching as you are starting your 6 day travels. I'm loving it already. Nice trails at El Moro. Awesome. Thanks.
Blue sky 🎉
Thank you so much for this. I don’t drive anymore, but used to travel a lot. Now i can travel vicariously through you!

It makes me feel good to see all of the open lands little towns. Also the Churches Veteran/Viet Nam memorials! What beautiful weather. Russ stop and enjoy some of this and Thank You so much! 😊
Would love to have gone with you on this one! What a beautiful little journey
loved this video, thanx for sharing
That one place yiu turned around to see the museum with the horse reminds me of the old Mobil ⛽️ station flying horse 😮😊
Earth is one great big volcano field, infact more countries and continents have an abundance of them, usually covered over by forests and valleys or like in the Gulf of Mexico, a huge underwater volcano, it continues to influence the weather of Florida and hurricane transitioning.
Enjoyed again
👋Love your videos, Russ!!🌞
I like the rear camera bonus shots. July 4, 2023 in Grants, NM and the artist colony ,etc. Love your channel
I’m definitely enjoying the ride ! Thanks Russ ! 🙌👍✌️

Thanks again for a great tour, Russ
For anyone visiting Albuquerque New Mexico and is interested in the Manhattan Project history should check out the new National Museum of Nuclear Science & History next to Kirkland Air Force Base.
Thanks Russ, always enjoy your travels., any chance that you'll do a complete US 89 border to border some day (or already) ? Thanks for stopping at all the smaller attractions !!!

PS, thank you for your Dad's WWII service, I think I may have been in one of the last operations at Wendover about 1981 / 82. It had long been a ghost town of a base but we used it as remote base during Red Flag @ Nellis AFB in Vegas. As an aside at the time the large hanger was used to experiment with ball lighting.
You missed out on the El Malpais! Right there by Grants. But I’m so glad you went to see El Morro. Such an overlooked tourist spot. I’ve lived here all my life and still never cease to be amazed by how beautiful this state is. Thank you for showing its beauty.
Happy Birthday!
Very interested n beautiful
Russ, thank you for highlighting my birth state. We still have property in Taos that my dad gave me when I was born (back then it was nothing, but sounds different now). You reminded us to take our RV back through NM paradise on our next trip, coming soon. We have to go through it from California to see relatives back east. Not always, we choose to go back a different way. But, for a good change in pace, we should go home through NM and take our time.
Awesome trip. You made us feel like we were there!
Gorgeous 😍
Just discovered this channel!! Getting ready to buy my first RV, and want to start my journeys! Love this info!!
I thoroughly enjoy watching your KZread Channel, Russ! 👍👍👍👍👍 I especially enjoy these Once In A Lifetime Series videos. I wish you safe travels. Talk soon, Alan.
Loved the gopher footage,, he was sayin.. bye Russ lol. Great vid as usual.. I always need my RVerTV fix for the week !
Wow, this was awesome, loved it!
Never have seen rear camera footage on trips before. Very cool
Well done !!!
Just watched this video! Sure does bring back great memories for me. I have traveled on these same roads. So interesting! Wish I could have been with you 🥰 It's fun to see the sights.
Awesome journeys ❤
New subscriber! Great documentation of your journeys. Looking forward to seeing your past videos.
Would bea goodies to make a tether for your exterior van cameras. I work at a automotive proving grounds in Indiana, up by Michigan. We us hero cameras on vehicles to record movement when traversing events with a vehicle. The hold up good but, inevitably, the mounts can and will fail.
@whatyoumakeofit6635
4 ай бұрын
A string or zip tie attached to camera/case and ( using gorilla tape) tape othe endto the van body. Just a few inches with a little slack. That would be enough to save you hundreds in cameras when and if the mount fails.
Got some Bruce Dern vibe goin' on.... That voice takes me too the old west.. ....
