Historic New England Railroad 8MM (silent) Films.

Keeping with the rest of the recent uploads, I now present a set of films of unknown heritage. There is action on B&M, Central Vermont, Portland Terminal, New Haven and other items around New England. One notable rare bit of footage is a close look at the rail operations of the power plant in Bow, NH back in the early 60's. The action starts out with a close-up of a B&M wreck in Boscawen, NH. There is also quite a bit of vintage B&M and CP RDC footage.
These films are part of the collection from the Shelburn Falls Trolley Museum. Visit the Museum's web site at: www.sftm.org and make a donation please!

Nice coverage of the April 1967 Penacook, NH wreck.
Thanks for the video Scott
This is how I remember the B&M when I was growing up. How much as changed since then! Great old videos.
Really nice, historic video. Thanks for sharing it.
There was a slight speed-up in the film to avoid flicker during the digitizing.
So much of this footage is so out of focus that it is unwatchable.
Ahh 1957' Ford Ranch Wagon (11:21) nice !! : D
However, at that time speeds WERE very high on the NH division!
Great
Hey great footage! Just curious, would I be able to use some clips from some of your videos in some of my videos? I'm working on a model railroad set in New England in the 1950's, and thought it would be cool to use some old footage of the prototype railroads in the New England area in the intro for the series of videos docum noting its construction. I would be sure to give credit in the description. Thank you,-LLP
That coal train and RDC look like they're going real fast! Is the film sped up a bit?
