I can't believe that a video from 15 years ago would be more helpful than my histopath professor. Whoever you are, thank you. Sincerely, a med student from the future.

Thank you for these videos. You have an excellent ability to teach, & I am able to really follow you, in a very interested way. I am a survivor of a malignant cystosarcoma phyllodes tumor (doubtful that 1 of those will be on here :( ~ It accounts for less than 1/10th of 1% of all types of breast cancers, and is a vascular cancer & unresponsive to most treatments, other than surgery. Anyway, I have a strong interest in medicine & find all of this very fascinating... Thank you for the videos

of course, if the new "scar tissue" really turns out to be melanoma on microscopic examination, prognosis could be guarded long term many melanomas can respond drastically well to immunotherapy wdc

Thank you for doing this, I've had 3 melanoma's and a lump now has formed near an old site that I had surgery on and I'm trying to gather information before I see the Oncologist next week. I hope the lump is just a fatty benign tumor. All of mine were Clarks I or II, so I was very fortunate.

Thank you very interesting. I noticed those nuclei look quite big and nasty and no doubt irregular in shape with dense chromatin.

Doesn't it make sense that if basal cells are normally palisaded, then wouldn't it make sense that basal cell carcinimas are ALSO palisaded?

I wonder if I get answer after so many years? What exactly is the melanin inside the cells? I see cells rounded by dark violet color and inside is cell nucleus of dark violet color. The rest of the cell is usually white that means nothing more visible is seen there. Where is melanin? Some of the cells have additionally small violet points spreaded in the cytoplasm around the nucleus. Is this melanin or are these some organelles?

Any dark visible particle in a melanocyte that is MUCH smaller than the nucleus, is melanin.

god help this person. THAT is cancer. Heaven forbid, this person is either dead or in serious trouble. Thank you for these videos. That is an invasion that the body cannot stop. That is awful. That one tumor has probably reached every organ outside the brain, heart.
