I think the more important thing to remember is that the person left him at a shelter instead of in a ditch or a trash bag. You don't know what circumstances that person may have been facing. What surprises me is that the puppy stayed inside the box even though it was open

There is a fee to leave an animal at a shelter and maybe he could not afford it.

​@@jal670 I agree. I have seen videos where someone leaves the animal abandoned in some woods, or on a highway. People have put them in trash bags, tied off to suffocate. People have put rocks in bags with kittens or puppies and thrown them in the pond, lake...Some people just are heartless.

If the puppy's first owner couldn't/didn't want to keep him, I'm glad they at least brought him to you (albeit the wrong way - should have had the courage to give you the puppy face to face!) rather than doing something...worse, but I'm thrilled he has such a great forever home! Thank you for giving him that chance!!

Yes…not condoning that persons actions but the puppy could have been dumped somewhere with no people around.

Some people can be so cruel and heartless, just dumping a 3mth old puppy by the side of the road. The only positive thing was that he dumped puppy outside of your shelter. I'm so happy that Meda now has a loving home in Germany with his new Paw-rents 🐾 ❤ 🐕

If you have to give up an animal, at least bring it to an animal shelter and don't abandon it somewhere outside, and if you buy an animal, then not from the breeder but from an animal shelter. There are so many little souls sitting there waiting for a nice home. Adopt, don't shop ! 🐾💚

I know right. I hate when people do this. I can't stand breeders either, especially the Amish. If I could, I would go to all puppy mills and get all of them out of there with or without payment.

He could have taken him to the shelter in the day and say, I can’t take care of him, would you please find him a new home. Anything could have happened to that puppy in the night. That’s what. He did the right thing in the wrong way.

This was the origin story of my cat Luna 🖤 he was left in a cardboard box outside the shelter. Then soon after he chose us as his family and we had 5 amazing years together 🖤

These animals are so grateful. It was good that the man left the dog outside a shelter. There is no need to remove your pet from home. I was brought up in a state of hand to mouth, and yet never did we even think of getting rid of the dog. People want too much today, and cost cutting means the dog goes. Lovely to see a happy dog, that she or he was taken in and now lives a happy life. I just adopted a Pom from a shelter, and bad back ground.

Bless that little doggie. I felt so sorry for him when I heard "he didn't move from his box all night ". My heart sank.But he has a forever home now ,so happy days!

That's so heartless & cruel!!! I have 2 dogs & the younger I got her when she was only 3mos old from a family that couldn't keep up with her they said. I could NEVER imagine leaving her at all let alone like that. So glad he's gotta happy loving home!!!
