His or Her money | Transforming Finances in Marriage

What if managing finances in your marriage was not a source of tension, but a pathway to unity and freedom? Join us as we shine a light on the significance of a shared mindset in financial matters within a marriage, and discover how transforming your perspective on money can create harmony. We discuss ways to shift from individualistic attitudes towards money to a team mindset, guided by the teachings of the Bible on the love of money. Also don't miss our invite to our annual conference, where we'll explore this topic of shared finances in marriage even further!

Y’all speaking my language. My husband and I will be married 15 years (Lord’s will ) in a couple of weeks and we had to learn the money principles that you share here. Also, likewise he helped me to improve my credit score. My advice to single ladies…Get your financial house in order before marriage. It’s right up there with your spiritual, mental and physical health. It’s so important!

Learn to say no especially if it has to take out from your responsibility. I also think God wouldn't want you to give out and your family suffer.👏

26:18 Bingo! This is so true! 💯 I never heard it quite put that way but if God hasn’t intervened I don’t think He expects us to. This has set my free😂 Cause sometimes there’s a little bit of guilt knowing you have it but just don’t have it to loan or even give in some cases. Co-signing is a No No …even from a biblical standpoint! People often overlook that. My own dear mother is resting in Heaven but she always told me to never co-sign for anyone including her if she asked. Lol 😂 That has stuck with me and since then have read it in the Bible myself. My standpoint is this: I can help you or assist you better by showing you how to manage your money 💰 but throwing money at the problem never helps the problem. Sometimes people have the money they just not using it wisely. I’ve had to learn this so I now believe EVERYONE should.

So much knowledge here! I typically use Excel to create our monthly budget but since watching this episode I’ve downloaded the Every dollar app to save on time & have a more in-depth look at our finances. I’m definitely more like P. Tabitha in regards to our financial upbringing & in that my Husband also helped build my credit. I am learning to steward better. This episode was so on time. I literally needed this information today! Thank you so much!

I really really needed this wisdom-- my Husband and I are totally not on the same page with money, it's one of the biggest points of contention in our marraige. I'm a saver/budgeter, he's a have it spend it type. I see us as a team like you talked about, I do see it as "our money", but it hurts me when he spends large amounts of our money to cover a debt he got himself in without considering that there just was a big expense with the car that nee that needed to be fixed or the house just had roof damage and we have to pay the deductible.. I would love to connect with you guys, my hearts desires are to be a team when it comes to money and it stop being a sour point in our marraige

Great information to share and thanks so much. Please what do you do if your spouse is the spending type and does not want to be in synch with you? For 13 years i have been pushing for us to live on a budget so we can pay our cards off but it's not working. I have tried every means possible, but she will agree for a week and revert back to her old ways of living.

My mom cosigned for my first car i paid it off! She cosigned for me i think it is knowing the way people treat things and their character! I would only cosign for my child i should know by living with them whether they are responsible or not! I hardly ever borrow money i did that as a teen and it has to be someone i know is good with money who will pay me back still then i hesitate! I hate when people ask to borrow money i hardly trust it!

He says he doesn't want our accounts together 😢.

Hi. Recently my husband has started to take out his wages and anything else that gets paid to him out of the joint account. He was leaving it in there. Apart from he would take two lots of money out each month and put it in his other accounts. So he would leave the rest in there. Now all of a sudden he is taking out everything that gets paid to him. Yet there are bills coming out this account and he is taking other money out of it like for his car service and mechanics payments out of there. Yet he isn't putting anything back in there. So it getting less in there. Why is he doing this. Why does he now love his money. He is Christian. Well meant to be. What has happened to him. Why is he doing this to us both
