So lovely to see the mostly Tibetan audience laughing when the Dalai Lama says humorous things, many of them having endured unimaginable hardship in, and while escaping from Tibet, Tibet being invaded by a perfidious brutal communist China bent on eradicating Tibetans and their specific Tibetan Buddhist culture in Tibet and in Tibetan Himalayan areas. May all of humanity always have access to the obscure and priceless teachings of the historical Buddha! Long live the Dalai Lama! Free Tibet!

From Hawaii, looking forward to seeing the Dalai Lama once again. His return visits to Hawaii, he is always surrounded with love. I enjoyed his talk at the Shell in Waikiki as well as Maui was wonderful. The young people will be with his holiness on Saturday and I will be with him on Sunday. Our children are wonderful and very respectful of what the Dalai Lama will say to them in April. We had a good 1,000 plus children from 34 schools attend the event in Maui. Looking forward to one's visit.

As a Tibetan I'm very grateful for the support by Archbiship Desmond Tutu. The Tibetan freedom struggle is the same as the anti-colonial struggles in Africa, Asia & South America. Tibet has been colonized by communist China since 1951 & China rules Tibet with an iron fist. Over 115 Tibetans have self-immolated for freedom since 2009 & there are over 800 political prisoners in Tibet. All we Tibetans want is freedom and our nation back.

How dignified and cool are the Tibetan audience! The faces of women and men are simply non-threatening. Here we see the refugee Tibetan people, the non-fanatical expressions of their faces, only concerned about their and anybodies free future practice of the most valid of all non-violent spiritual practices, Buddhism.

The Dalai Lama loves to hold hands ... heh heh so cute. Every human being in the world deserves to be happy. No one should dictate another's life . China should help preserve a culture that is so precious instead of wanting to rule over Tibet. Human's craving for power is such a sad thing.

I grew up with Jesus. The scribes that wrote and rewrote the Bible muddled up the original teachings of Jesus that were based on Buddhism, because Jesus did travel to India and Tibet. After 17 years abroad he returned to his country of birth, Egypt, as an Awakened One. Wherever Jesus then went, he taught unconditional love for all living beings. Like the Buddha, Jesus renounced the elitist religion of his time. Buddha and Jesus were drop outs, taught original truth: unconditional love for all.

I cannot help but believe that the heart must be protected from those who would destroy the heart in their own aggressive ego beliefs. In this way, the United States Of America is the shield and the sword that protects the heart of all that is good in the world. Someday, I very much wish that America will help to play a role in liberating Tibet. Perhaps this will come with the help from India and the other democracies of the world.

Ha!! at 44:12 the Dalai Lama says that politics can not solve our problems. (sure, politics is devoid of understanding rhe existence of meta-physical dimensions). The Dalai Lama says something like that only (valid) spiritual insight can be the cause of peace for humanity and for all sentient beings'. What is valid spiritual insight? Have respect for, take care of the well being of all living beings, then they, animals, rivers, all of Mother Earth, are accommodated in their element. Peace ..

This disharmony they hope to restore is a world problem, not solely a country to country one. it is reflected strongly in these two men's plight right here, today... Pope John Paul called my culture generation X the "culture of death",and many of them became soldiers and went and fought for oil fields, great buddhas were destroyed in their wake... meetings of minds and peoples should be exemplified by how these men faced the atrocities of their world, and still found love. om ah hum.

@starsbydaylight Correction by me about my spontaneously expressed feelings in my foregoing comments about the Tibetan people, about their spiritual practice: they are alarmed about the restrictions put upon them by externalists (in this case the non-tibetan chinese communist regime laying down the laws in Tibet after communist China invaded Tibet and did brutally restrict the free practice of specific Tibetan Buddhist spiritual wisdom and methods. From all oppression Free Tibet!

I've been to Tibet every summer for the past 30 years. It's a great place. They are far more free than the us on the outer, inner and secret levels. Tibetans in Tibet aren't consumed with jealousy and hatred like the ones in India and the West are. You want to see destruction of culture just go see the American Indians. If you want to see preserved Tibetan culture, just go to Tibet. You've got to go to know! Don't believe the propaganda, just follow your heart! Good karma builds temples, bad karma destroys them. What kind of karma are you creating? Everything is self perfected through the nature of wisdom. May all Tibetans in the West realize this! Everything is perfect just as it is, nothing to add, nothing to take away. May you find the peace of mind free from all animosity, just like the glorious Lotus Born Guru!
