The reason is because hippos stink really bad and crocodiles can’t stand the smell so they tend to just run away and get as far away as possible.

Goes to show how useful a hippos shape is. That sheer mass is a surprisingly good defence on its own. Even more so when attached to an animal with a 2000psi bite force.

Lived beside each other for millions of years, a Croc will target a young hippo, a fully grown one, they are not that brave

- "Mom, those cros look really scary!" - " Just sit on them and they will leave you alone" 😆 Also baby hippos are so incredibly cute. The most precious thing!

This reminds me of when i was young. I would act stupid around my friends and siblings cause i knew my mom was around and would defend me😂

Actually , more like a torpedo . Hippos run on the bottom and push off from the bottom , thus propelling themselves torpedo-like through the water . Hippos are so dense that they sink . They cannot swim .

Hippos are capable of producing around 1,800 psi ( 8,100 Newtons) with their bite. In theory, they have a strong enough bite to snap a crocodile in half if needed. Also Hippo do eat meat as well.

Imagine walking up to a bunch of crocodiles and saying “beat it!”, and they all leave.

Those other hippos were A-holes for simply watching the showdown from their watery abodes, then coming out to enjoy sunbathing only after the conflict had been resolved.
