Especially if you're held under such obvious prison conditions. No chance to forget for even one second that you're in a horrible situation against your will and that he is the enemy. If she does fall in love with him, it will be pure Stockholm syndrome, un-muddled by any overlapping seduction strategies.

either she killed him and it was a flashback to the first time he kidnapped her: which could also suggest he was lyin about everything. or he survived and continued to try and "fix" her after she collapsed outside. I think she was playing along and trying to escape the whole time. no idea though so many ideas

Just watched this. From what I’ve been able to gather, the lead male is, in all actuality, the main villain, and was never romantically involved with the female lead. He was implanting false memories in her the whole time. Too many loose ends in this film. The ending is the beginning; the male lead’s character is actually just some sinister lurker and really did kidnap the woman and decided to play some dumb game with her memories and emotions in order to win her over. The attempt made at dismantling the fourth wall at the end was embarrassing, however implies that the lead male’s character is in fact only malevolent in his true nature, and not the sweet fellow he is trying to convince his captive of being. Too much shit in this movie like, this motherfucker has a lot of time on his hands to run electricity and plumbing and the like into this small underground lair on and island. Not to mention all that equipment for staging the room. What the fuck.

Yasmine Rihane I’m pretty sure she killed him as is shown in the movie. The last scene is a flashback to her first day waking up in captivity.

@@emmao1232 I didn't realize stabbing the knee could be so 100% disabling. 🤔 He must have severed the tendon... in which case, I doubt she'd be so calm and relaxed. No matter. It's a weird looking movie. I doubt I will ever watch it.

@@edwardpalmer7604 well just caught this on prime video today, didn't realise you were the director...****Spoiler alert*** at the end am I right in thinking he let's her sleep too long after their break through moment and her memory resets which then leads to the final unsavoury event? My other theory is that the perpetrator of the original traumatic event (the flat mate) has kidnapped her and is in fact playing the part of the boyfriend to somehow reprogram her memory due to being obsessed with said girl...
