Oss, it's very interesting to see how different instructors and Sensi's terminology change from person to person and just to see the minute differences in how people move. Also, it's really cool to learn and observe variations in techniques and sort of see how essentially the same move can be different in just the slightest ways from person to person. This video explained things in a way that is totally different than what I would learn in our Dojo, and I definitely learned something from it. OSS.

If I ever go back to Walmart I'll try these techniques out for myself wasn't a flatable punching bag it could come in handy when practicing against your techniques and body and mind a movement and all depends on how you do well as practice makes perfect union and more more sink more you practice better you become and the stronger you get 🥋💪😉👍🥋

Aikido, even in martial arts, is different in technique and practice because of the technique of Tenchi Harmony and the founder Morihei Ueshiba.

In my dojo we rotate our hips sometimes to the different direction :D do you know why?

yes .. I was pretty sure I wasn't crazy talking about the 3 axes of hip-rotation. Maybe it was Hotton Sensei from whom I heard it first. 👍✌️

Are you coping hooks from boxing?

  • @tacticaltemplar875

Karate actually does have hook punches. Unfortunately many dojos seem to forget that and don't practice them much. I believe the long hook in called "mawashi zuki" and the short hook is "kagi zuki."

your movement is nice, but i want to see you fighting. As we know, you also need positioning and timing with your power

As someone who has been hit with that punch, albeit with control (it was during a demo), I can tell you that it is every bit as lethal as it appears.

That "poor guy getting hit" is actually me, thank you, but I will tell you that I wouldn't have it any other way. Despite what it looks like Sensei Hotton has an incredible amount of control of his techniques. What he hit me with wasn't even half strength.

HRDaChief ah good I'm glad you confirmed you're ok with that, it seemed kind of rude of him to hit you even like that outside of a sparring situation,
