Cranberries are just one of those rare bands that comes along once a generation where it doesn't matter what you ordinarily listen to nobody hates them. They just did their own thing and their music today is still as refreshing as it was back then.

truly agree with u. i’m 16 this yr and this have been my fav song since i was 5 on 2012 coz my mom always heard this song everyday and if i married one day i’ll let my kids listen to this song too. (this song really brings back nostalgia when i was a child and now i’m already teenagers but i’m not ready to be adult yet :) edit: sorry for the grammar

Alex, you have to check out Bad Wolves cover of this song. Delores was supposed to reprise her vocals on the cover but had been found deceased in her hotel room the day that she was set to record them. Bad Wolves went back and forth trying to decide if they should still release the song. They eventually did and donated all proceeds to her children. R.I.P DELORES O'RIORDAN September 6 1971-January 15 2018

She was also supposed to be in the cover. She was planning to fly to them was super stoked to do the cover after she heard their take on it. She died like the day before she was supposed to be in the studio. Atleast she heard a ruff draft of the cover before she passed...if it wasnt the actual song just before post.

One of the most iconic and recognizable voices in modern music. I could listen to her sing all day and never get tired of her. I actually cried when I heard she’d passed away.

Glad you liked this track, bro. I'm an American veteran, but I can't imagine what the people of Ireland had to go through during The Troubles. Thanks for doing this video, Hef!

I love the moment she started singing and you just froze and started paying attention. That was the impact she had on everyone. She was incredible. I still find it hard to believe she's gone. Her music was a massive part of my life.

The Cranberries are one of the VERY FEW bands whose albums I can listen to from start to finish and not skip even a single song. So much childhood nostalgia, and still of of my favorite bands of all time. Glad you can appreciate them like they truly deserve.

She actually died the day that she was scheduled to go in and sing her part of their cover. It's explained at the start of their video, and they are donating money from the cover to her children.

it's pretty easy actually... it's a song that's 24 years old for starters, and it's not that much played in radio, unless you go for thematical radios, like a rock radio or a 90's radio, thing that Alex probably didn't ever do, since he is an hip-hop kid for his own admission, so at most he gone for the hip-hop/rap radios... and even if you hear it in a shop or a pub, let's face it: if it's not your usual genre, are you gonna remember it 10 minutes later you heard it?

I remember when this song came out--MTV (back when they actually played music videos) had it in constant rotation. Being of Northern Irish descent (my great-grandfather was from Belfast), it has a great deal of meaning for me, as well.

The bad wolves version is great as well they were going work with Dolores but she died the day she was supposed to come into the recording studio

It's sad we lost her this year. She actually passed away on her way to record with Bad Wolfs and be featured in the cover they did.Their voices together would have been amazing. *sigh* what could have been.

Cranberries is very respectful band in metal society. Also recommend U Promises and Salvation, both a great songs

My parents were obsessed with the album this song is from. It reminds me so much of going on long drives up to the Scottish highlands sat in the back of their electric blue Lada singing my heart out to this entire album. Thanks for bringing back memories I hadn't thought of in a long time. You are sorely missed Dalores. RIP.

I remember when this video came to MTV it played 10 to 15 times every day, and we loved it from the get go. Tears are going even now when I see this video, Dolores was legend....

A great song, there is a beautiful tribute to her, she died early this year, by bad wolves. She was set to reprise her vocals the next day,. she passed in the night. Bad Wolves Zombie, they would fit into your metal motif

It’s great that you actually read about the songs before listening to them,that often changes everything when you hear it. Good job man, I still love this song after the 20-whatever years that it’s been out. Delores was something special.

People's faces, usually, when Dolores starts singing is one of the most amazing this..... no matter how many times I hear it, I get goosebumps because the sound is so unorthodoxically different and beautiful... that yodel, and her accent, of course; Irish.... needless to say....

it wasnt intended to be a remembrance of her since she was supposed to be on it but died the day she was supposed to come in for her recording. but they released it without her as a remembrance.

Bad Wolves did a cover of this song, it was supposed to be with the lead singer, but the she died a few days before they were going to record it. So bad wolves sang the song themselves and gave all the money made from the song to the family of her family.

"Its the same old thing since 1916" is so meaningful to us Irish, when we sing this song that line gets screamed out!

I Cry alot, but watching you react to this, made me cry. kudo, she was a treasure our planet will miss.

Alex since you did this song you NEED to check out the cover version of this song by the band Bad Wolves. It’s a tribute of sorts to the lead singer since she died early in 2018. I feel like they did a fantastic job of it.

I am glad you did the cranberries first of course but I have been dying to see you react to the bad wolves cover of this song. So when I seen this notification I clicked so fast lol. Bad Wolves did a pretty good job covering this song. But to me it lacked the serious emotion the Cranberries had when they wrote. Dolores O'Riordan had a beatiful voice. Oh and it's pronounced (O-rear-den)

I'm guessing that the biggest reason he hasn't done it yet is because everyone wants him to do it with his gf. I'm sure they both have lives that keep them rather busy and I doubt making a KZread video together is the first thing they wanna do when they get time together. Just be patient, guys.
