Sorry. Didn’t mean to make this public the same time as the top ten.
I'm a HUGE Hinderer fan... but I'll admit the ZT variants bring me just as much joy. You'll love it!
This is my grail. I love the titanium frame that is bronze anodized
I have a ZT0562 in g10. It was the first ZT I ever bought and it’s a great knife. You will enjoy it very much.
Nice video, it’s actually a gen 4 since it’s a 3”. The 3.5” tri-way are gen 6’s
Good choice, you will love the 0562. It will probably be your new favorite ZT.
I'm with you on being specific. I have had funds set aside since gen 6 dropped for when he releases the bowies. And even then I need a specific color configuration lol
Great video about a month and a half or so ago I purchased my first Hinderer ever it was the XM18 G 6 non-flipper 3.5” and put PBW in it and love it and yesterday I purchased the flipper version of the same knife different G 10 handle Color should receive it tomorrow I struggled with the same thing you were talking about I almost went with a 3 inch but the 3 1/2 is just so perfect for me I could not do it I’d like to pick one up in the future in a 3 inch but afraid it may be too small for me but I am now addicted to Hinderer knives and don’t think ZT is on the same playing field at least since the TWP I still enjoy my ZT knives but for me Hinderer is on a whole new level for me maybe it’s just me because I prefer the PBW kind of over the bearings probably because everyone is doing it anymore have a great day
Teflon Hinderers broke in and with Balistol lube they were amazing. You had to tweak the pivot screw a bit but eventually it was butter. You could flip all day no fatigue. I am worried about the tighter detent. I want to try a new one.
I have a 3.5 working finish slider and I freaking love it man. I also have a 3 inch warny that I love as well. But you can’t beat the 3.5 skinny man. Love it. I recommend you get the 3.5 skinny. You will love it.
I’ve had most of the Hinderer ZTs, including a 0392. I ended up selling them. I just really like the hefty construction and components parts / materials of an actual Hinderer. The ZT Hinderer’s are great knives in terms of the machining, tolerances, and action. An authentic Hinderer has a lot more personality (if that makes sense).
I have a gen 4 but I think I’m going save up for the new gen 6. Spanto 3.5 black dlc or maybe another color.
20CV 0562CF is my favorite knife in my collection :)
Did they switch to torx recently? Every hinderer I've had was 5/64 allen heads like CRK
There’s a way to flip a hinderer that allows you to miss the jimping. You push into the flipper jimping towards the pivot and pull your finger back towards the palm of your hand. It helps avoid the eagle claw flipper tab too. Also what’s your thoughts on that knife running bearings on straight titanium? People freak out about that on cheaper knives, but the Xm doesn’t use a steal washer for the bearings.

I'm aware of how to miss the jimping, but it's just unnecessary. I've never had a problem with the bearings being on titanium in real world use.

Slicey Dicey good deal. Took me a few days of torn finger tip to find that tutorial. Lol
I bet as soon as I buy a 3” XM-18 that ZT will announce a mini 0562 🤷♂️
Hi Slicey! Excellent review as always 😉. I bought my first Hinderer last month, an XM-18 3.5 gen 6. I changed the washer to a bearing, but from the start I find it a bit difficult to open. It seems to me that you have an easier time opening it in your video. Mine seems stiffer. The lock seems stiffer too. I wonder if this is just an impression on my part, or if it is done like that ..? What do you think?

I think the carborized works better. I have 3 zt's and my 550 works better on spine whack than still insert
I would say zt makes a better Emerson than Emerson does. The 0620 and 0630 are built much better than any other Emerson I've handled at an even better price.
Great knife. Wish I still had mine but I was offered more than I paid for it a couple of years ago when they were really hot.I'll take a ZT any day over a Hinderer.
BEARINGS BEARINGS DROP SHUT DROP SHUT... hope this thought ends, and more ergos/hrc/thickness/geometry/philosophy of use/ anything about actually using the knife to cut stuff becomes more popular in reviews rather than the action. This is a random rant not targeted towards this video in anyway but the whole hinderer changing to bearings thing got me going lol
I like all nut in the knives.. I think it's beautyful in machine style..because i don't like nature style on the knives..such as the pattern of nature, it is not compatible with metal equipment
