But what a glorious moment... what an epic defense on the bridge with Prince Legolas at the head of the elven host. It's true that perhaps with him and the King... one in the North and one in the South these wars would be a little easier... but what a great episode, worth seeing. I really enjoyed it, I hope this campaign will continue soon with the great alliance with Lorien. I can not wait !!!

Chapeau for the annihilation of the Gundabad doomstack - a really impressive performance on your behalf. Sidenote (as a conjecture with your other campaign): does anyone else utterly HATE the M2TW AI capability of pushing through with units by sheer force (especially in sieges), or is it just me?

Love this series you make. I am not the biggest fans of elves. We Danes of Denmark 🇩🇰 have a rich and old folklore about them and they more or less tell about how the beautiful elven women lure men into the darkness of their forests were the men get killed or get inslaved. In our old Norse in our viking age did we call them Alfer / álf. Our forefathers did belive in them then.

Legolas is really showing off what he can do in this episode, and it's a beautiful sight.

Congratulations on wiping out the doom stack. If you had already played Gondor, you would have remembered that the best way to destroy Mordor stacks are at the bridge of Cair Andros. It would have helped had you pulled out one of 2 infantry stacks at Framsburg to help hold the line at the bridge.

Might be worth putting some of Thranduil's many units on the front line at Beorn's Halls or send Legolas there and use Thranduil's reserves as a front line against Gundabad. You should save the forces in Beorn's Halls by retreating if you get a chance. Better to lose the settlement and return than sacrifice a whole army to lose a settlement anyway. But I realise they are chain-sieging at the moment.

The reason that first battle went so bad was because you were running through them and not attacking.

Hello, mate. Two uploads in a day, wundabah! Now, on the campaign, first of all, you have a mission to claim Leodholt... Though as DOl Guldur is now concentrating on you with the second assault, you need to survive again before of your next expansion. I agree with the general plan, you need to destroy Gundabad first and then descend south to help Orthordir. I think that Legolas should go south, maybe it's him the one who claims Leodholt, but surely he should retrain his forces in Beorn's Halls before continuing south. Thranduil is safe in his capital and he can funnel forces to other fronts, with the thought that he would hit a town of the Goblins and offer it to Lorien for an alliance - not a bad move, since it will come again under his control after the merge. The economy is in a stable position, maybe some more investments to give more income in the long term. Finally, I see some VERY interesting names from Ellesartelcontar below, he has my vote as well... And now, let's add another episode in our story: Legolas had his own plan as the big army came down. It was as powerful as it was expected, with Snow Trolls, Half-Trolls, Avengers and Bolg's Champions.. However, the general made a vital mistake, to split the army. The biggest part came south to find and destroy Legolas, while he and some of his army entered the abandonned Eorlstone. Legolas gave a rabbit to the Orcs to follow him on the bridge of a small river coming down from the Misty Mountains, as he had already set there his trap. When the Orc commander saw the few Elfs on that bridge, they shouted curses as they assaulted. However, they were not mindless Goblins, but powerful Orcs, the best of their breed and with good armours. They formed lines before the assaults and the Bolg's Champions were on the vanguard. Though as they reached the middle of the bridge, the archers made their appearance from their hidden positions and started loosing arrows to them. More than half the Orc force died before the clash, however they still kept on to the fight, managing to ignite a very fierce melee fight on the other side of the bridge. As the archers finished their arrows, they drew their swords and got in the melee as well. After two hours, though, the Orc line broke as their commander fell in the front line and the survivors retreated to Eorlstone. Legolas didn't waste time, as this was exactly what he wanted to do. After the battle, the Elfs were outside of Eorlstone and countered with fury. Legolas wanted to eliminate the Orcs before the attack on Gundabad and Burzakul. All the captains were in accordance when he set the siege. "Orthordir is getting pressed by army after army", he said. "We need to finish the job here before we set down to help him". "Your father sends more reinforcements after the successful campaign with Dale", Elenwe said. "So, Lord Orthordir will not be alone. But we need to go by him soon". All captains agreed. "Dain says he will press as soon as he sends the proper armies", Elenwe continued. "He just repelled a siege in Dain's Halls and he expects another. So, I suggest to use the Dwarfs as an anchor to get away of our paths the roaming Orcish armies and we get straight for the towns. We have this, Gundabad and Burzakul". "Exactly", Legolas said. "Let's hope that Lord Celeborn accepts our proposal of alliance. As our tries till now have failed". "Give him time", the captain of an archer unit said. "The days of old are not forgotten easily. But in the end he will join us - it's only a matter of time". "Exactly", the captain of a Warriors unit added. "I feel hat Lord Celeborn knows it as well. He just waits for the right moment".

Got overconfident on that bridge, could've done with less casualties. Great strategy to bottleneck them on that bridge with an archer force though 👍

I don't think Legolas will destroy Gundabad on his own he simply can't take our Gundabad due to goblin interference and you being forced to wait for sally outs since you only have archers right now your best bet is probably just hold out in Erolstone and wait until the Dol Gouldor crisis is solved which I suggest to be dealt with by sending and recruiting everyone to just rush Dol Gouldor.

Man, I hate last stand armies. Especially if you push a faction early and they get these units you wouldn't otherwise face for at least another 50 turns. But I love the way you pronounce Legolas.

I do not believe that warg packs are a notable danger. They are just camels fulfilling the roll of light cavalry correct? Because I have seen dozens of engagements with them at this point from multiple lets plays and KZreadrs and they just die every time they are fought in any direct way. the only 2 times I seen them effective was against tier 1 archers or as a flanking force. Even in this video they only got a handful of kills in exchange for the loss of the entire unit.
