    I feel like 2025 ktm adv will turn the tables in terms of off-roading but still love the new RE Himalayan 450 in-terms of touring coming from a Himmy 450 owner. In-terms of city, comparing to the upcoming KTM ADV 390, Himmy 450 maneuvers much better. If you want a true KTM ADV for offroad, wait until 2025.

    Offroad is MILES better on the 450 because the foot pegs are so rear set on the 390 it tends to throw me over the bar . Whereas the 450 has higher bars standard footpegs which are so good for off-road sections.

    Bro , i sold my 411 to buy this bike and wanted a tubeless bersion of himi bjt then RE gave me a big shock of not releasing the tubeless version . Now i m waitjng waiting and not sire how oong this will go on . I lived the 411 over 3 hears but used to get puncture every 1000 km or so snd i was so much fed up of it . Then i used to get very tense whenever i need to travel to Mangalore and back to Bangalore. It even got to a point where i had to keep checking the tire pressure every 100 km and even if kt dopped bu 2 to 3 psi i jsed ro fill it and tjats when i thought to sell it and i did .

    I do not know about the Himalayan 450 but the older Himalayan 411's seat felt comfortable initially but on a long ride the seat flattened out and my bum used to touch the frame of the bike and it hurt like hell. My Duke 390 seat was damn stiff but no matter what distance it used to remain the same. stiffer seat for longer rides and softer seat for shorter rides. ADV 390 has tubeless tires and the Himlalayan old or new still do not have tubeless tyres in India atleast. That is a big bummer in my opinion.

    Amazing content as always Strell bro!!! One more important aspect is that as of now the Himalayan comes only with tube tyres whereas the adventure comes with alloys in one of the variants. That’s a big point especially for tourers. Also, hopefully KTM will launch the facelift based on the new 399cc motor from the Duke 🤞🏻

    I don't get one part.. people are saying that it's a good tourer, but the most useful range.. 90-110 ... Is so buzzy! I took two test rides on different machines, same result. Also, on braking, our jewels keep hitting the tank due to how the tank is shaped. It's pretty uncomfortable because of these two reasons combined.

  • @beyourself9500

    @beyourself9500

    3 ай бұрын

    I know you asked him but I thought let me explain a little.... control oriented mean when you ride the bike it will do what you want it to do, it is well engineered with proper weight distribution and electronics to give you precise control on the bike..... comfort oriented means it is comfortable to ride but the bike will be little sluggish to take your inputs precisely..... However it is a minor difference and will affect mainly the pro riders...normal people will not feel that difference....I hope you understood...and sorry to pitch in if you don't want my explanation....happy riding 😊

    The previous Himalayan was shit but this time RE has improved a lot...I think this time the choice between these two bikes is only based on preferences, what do you need from the bike....both are capable bikes......go take a test ride and then see how you feel on that bike and then make your decision..... influencers give their own opinion. It can match your liking or not. Go take a test ride that's the holy grail of choosing a bike...

    I want to share a short experience that how Royal Enfield is improved a lot compared to other brands. I went to testride meteor 350 and a person attended me (already talked over the phone after booking test ride) I was surprised that the person gave me the keys of that bike directly and told me to do test ride as long as I want. This is the first time that I did test ride alone. (compared to competitor, where they first ask if planning to buy if not, they will reject the test ride) It is not about the bike but about the dealership that how they treat people. I will definitely recommend Royal Enfield to other people, my friends and relatives. Royal Enfield has now improved a lot from last few years, in engine design, in service, in sales and also in pre sales (test ride)

    Sorry bro... I don't agree with you. I have sold my KTM 390 adventure because of reliability issue only within 2 years. Most of the time it stayed in the workshop. I could clock only 7000kms. And I also can confirm that vibration is lesser in himalayan than a KTM 390. Currently I am using RE 650s gt interceptor and super meteor which never bother me. Recently I have booked himalayan 450 after test riding it. Go for himalayan not a KTM.
