im a little confused how you would be measuring your two points on an existing building wall. Are you putting a target prism on the wall or just pointing your laser at the wall?

For building line, you can use prism or wall...if I'm using a property line of sorts, I can go ahead and use my prism pole. If I'm doing a bunch of layout on a wall of some sorts, I would probably use the laser.
