Hilti DX 5 Powder-actuated Tool & Hilti Connect App

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Tools that talk - whatever next? Roger Bisby gets an introduction to the Hilti DX 5 Powder-actuated Tool which features Hilti Connect App.
Direct fastening tools are among the quickest, easiest and safest for making serial fixing applications but it can be difficult to know when your tool is ready to be serviced. Or when it should be cleaned. And if it needs to go in for a repair, where should you send it? The next generation in Hilti powder-actuated technology - the DX 5 tool can tell you all of this because it can talk to you.
Incorporating proven Hilti DX direct fastening technology, this new tool also now features a service indicator with Bluetooth connectivity which lets you know when its time for a clean or a service. If it needs to go in for repair you can arrange for it to be collected from site or your office, directly though the Hilti Connect App.
All this makes tool care easier than ever and gives you peace of mind that your tool is always ready to get the job done.

All Hilti Tools are being equipped with NFC to enable the quick tool identification, access to tool information and services! Hilti is even retrofitting old customer tools and they go for Repair!

Alice Marques that's all good I wouldn't even look at them until they do the full range of cordless tools. The three I mentioned has the biggest range so many buy into them. Look at Panasonic.. a good brand but limited tools. You get my drift??

@@cassiya100 hilti comes from a history of dedicated construction work specialized in concrete, they are also their own company no overlords. The brands you mention on the other hand are big conglomerates with dozens of tool brands under their umbrella. They have a totally different marketing philosophy in that it is based in marketing wank, compering whos got the bigger johnson and spitting out new tools everyday. The milwaukee and similar brands tools are juiced up tools that don't have too much life expectancy. Suitable for small independent tradesmen that just need their tools to work fast and not crap out in a year or so just in time for the new model to come out. Hilti on the other hand does all their own repairs inhouse and are a lot more responsible for the tools they sell. You see its a lot more difficult to throw new tools all the time, since you are the one who has to organize the repair infrastructure train the technicians and be confident the tool will be popular. In other words they have a looooot more planning to do for new tools, not just throwing marketing around and sell you the latest wonder toy like milwaukee does. They are steadilly growing though an will have more and more tools in the coming years.

Not at all mate Hilti is investing heavily into this life time warranty service. They actually mean what they say.. Dewalt and all the others should be very concerned about Hilti.

Hmmm not sure about this whole smart stuff for tools. Not needed, too much to go wrong. Maybe the tool tracking is useful though.
