Never mess with the path of flowing water unless you have the means to keep the flow moving unobstructed and unchanged, you will cause more problems later. Moving water will always follow the path of lease resistance, block it, change it and it will cut a new path possibly making harder to get across.

Excellent video making skills.. Beautiful stream and a quick look at villagers (walking the path of the stream??) Excellent technique using the leafy branch as part of the view which gives some depth to the picture..The view of the hill that may slide more at any moment shows that the operator must work fast and carefully. I'm only @ 2:00 , but I hope we get to see the final road.. Thank you for this video!

This path definitely won't last long when heavy rain comes again...
As a professional heavy equipment operator and general engineer, I don’t understand why they don’t put in a culvert pipe, that way the road won’t continue to wash out. Good backhoe operator, great video! 💪👍🙏

Ok not a river , only a small creek , so why not salvage as much of the water lines as possible , install a 6’ culvert , or go up the creek , pull down dirt & rock flatten it out , make it wide & flat so water runs slow, fill in as much as possible the down the creek side . Then dig a big trench (all dirt down street) , then build a bridge out of big hard wood or cedar logs topped with plank
